Bromma Stockholm Airport — Local services in Stockholm

I had a terrible experience with this airport’s security. They found these 60ml toothpaste tubes I bought for my daughter and said they didn’t fit in a tiny plastic bag for scanning, so I needed to either throw them away or check my luggage. I pleaded with them, explaining that I understood the rule but had gone to great lengths to find these special toothpastes, which my daughter loves and are unavailable in Singapore. Since they were well under the 100ml limit, I couldn't justify paying for checked luggage just for these tubes, especially with less than an hour to make my connecting flight to Singapore.

The male security officer’s attitude was awful, and he suggested I speak with his manager. While my luggage was being scanned again, another staff member took the opportunity to make things even more difficult by instructing me to step away from my bag and scanning my entire body with a puffer machine. Eventually, the manager allowed me to keep the toothpaste but made me throw away other skincare items. I had to agree to “trade” for that because I could replace them in Singapore.

I felt their extreme strictness was excessive and their attitude was unnecessarily harsh, especially since I remained polite and cooperative...

The location of the airport is great. It’s a very small airport, under construction 🚧 (2019 may) no clear drop off / pick up zone, no signs anywhere. Upon departure. The airport opens at 06:00. Clean toilets, has a few restaurants and a speedy check in counter. Airport security could work on their manners. Great tax free shop, very friendly, helpful staff. Very small seating areas. Free magazines before check in. Great information about gates. Other than that there’s not much else to do it’s very a very small airport. Then you’ll have to walk outside to find your ✈️ plane. On the tarmac. The metal steps leading up to your plane is quite steep and small, beware if you are wearing heels 👠 they may be caught in the holes of the stairs. It’s an ok airport, would like to see more destinations from here, down to Europe. Upon arrival you’ll just go with the flow, there’s a few signs about where to go, order taxis or other transportation, the car rental service is rights outside, a bit tricky to find right now when the whole area is being totally renovated. You’ll have the best chance to get a cab 🚕 to take you to the city center from...

Had to throw away skincare worth about 300 kronor because the woman in security told me I had to take my liquids from my 1 liter bag (taken at Arlanda and not even packed to the brim) and put it into another one, provided by her. This bag was considerably smaller and three of my bottles had to be left behind. A liter is a liter is a liter, right?
