If you’re looking for the ultimate safari experience, look no further than African Polecat Safaris! From start to finish, every detail of our journey was expertly handled, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the breathtaking beauty of Tanzania.
From the moment we arrived in Dar es Salaam, it was clear that African Polecat Safaris operates with an exceptional level of professionalism and attention to detail. Every aspect of our trip—transportation, accommodations, and meals—was flawlessly coordinated, ensuring a smooth and stress-free adventure.
A special thank you goes to Anneth, who played a key role in organizing our trip all the way from Canada. She made what could have been an overwhelming process feel seamless and effortless, handling everything with care and precision. Her hard work and dedication were truly appreciated, making us feel confident and excited about such a big trip for a group of 8 friends!
Our 4 days were carefully planned to maximize wildlife viewing opportunities, and we saw everything we had hoped for—and more! From countless close-up animal encounters to witnessing the breathtaking spectacle of the Great Migration, every moment was filled with awe and excitement. The combination of the Serengeti, Ndutu, and the Ngorongoro Crater was absolutely perfect. Each location offered something special and unique!
But what truly made this safari extraordinary was the presence of our incredible guides, Manfred and Ben. Both were incredibly knowledgeable, skilled, and passionate about the land, animals, and local culture. Their expertise in tracking wildlife and sharing fascinating stories made each game drive an enriching and immersive experience.
From the moment we set out, Manfred and Ben made us feel like one big family on an adventure together. Whether it was sharing jokes over meals, or celebrating incredible animal sightings, they infused every moment with joy and camaraderie. Celebrating New Years with them and the incredible staff at Moyo camp was one for the books!
If you’re considering a safari in Tanzania, I cannot recommend African Polecat Safaris enough. The combination of expert planning, breathtaking wildlife encounters, and the warmth of the guides and camp hosts ensures that this is not just a trip—but a life-changing adventure.
Thank you, African Polecat Safaris, for a journey we will...
Read moreA truly fantastic safari provider!
After extensive internet research, we booked our safari vacation to Tanzania with Polecat. Initial contact was via email. We were offered a private safari (for two people) and immediately received a quote tailored to our individual needs. We made a few minor adjustments via email without any problems. The booking process was straightforward, as was the transfer of the deposit. Today is the last day of our 11-day safari, and we are not only satisfied, but truly thrilled. Our guide, Francis, was absolutely fantastic and, with his incredible knowledge, gave us wonderful insights into the flora and fauna of Tanzania. Francis was always helpful, polite, and courteous; you couldn't ask for a better guide. Unfortunately, my wife came down with food poisoning, but thanks to excellent medical care at a (very affordable) private clinic (which Francis found), she recovered very quickly, within 24 hours. I would especially like to mention the excellent support we received from Anneth through the Polecat office during the safari. Anneth checked in daily about our well-being and satisfaction and, after my wife's brief illness, immediately adapted our safari program to our new needs. Polecat is one of the smaller safari providers, but that's precisely what makes the quality and service so special. As a guest, I'm not just another guest, not an insignificant number, but individually valued and truly well looked after. We were extremely lucky to have found Polecat and – we're already planning our next stay in Tanzania, as a group of four – we will definitely book through Polecat again. I would gladly give more stars/points if possible and can recommend Polecat 100% with a...
Read moreI was a bit skeptical when I was booking them via WhatsApp, but Mr. Mbise followed up on all my wishes and budget ranges, and in the end, after comparing many different tour operators, they offered the best package, and I really liked the summary of the offer via the website with pictures. When I arrived in the Northern Serengeti by plane, my guide Agrey was already waiting for me at the airstrip, and the jeep was in perfect shape, and because it was slightly smaller than the big operators, we were way more flexible maneuvering around. In general, Agrey was a perfect guide, with a lot of knowledge, always on the radio to get the best information, and always aware of where we were and where to go to find the perfect spots. Several times we were able to get really close to animals because of his perfect timing or fair deals with other drivers. He was always on time, and even when he was driving fast because someone had spotted something and I got the full Serengeti massage, I always felt safe with his driving. Also, the car was fully equipped with cold drinks, beer, and wine the whole trip. Even when the last hotel wasn't up to the highest standards, Agrey and Polecat quickly arranged an extra chef for my dinner and responded quickly. From beginning to end I felt perfectly covered, and Agrey is probably one of the best guides you can find in and for the Serengeti. I have talked to many other guests from other companies; none of them were as happy as I was because their guides were too quiet, too slow, or got lost and couldn't find the camps. Agrey managed all of that easily. So thank you, Polecat and Agrey, for this amazing...
