I think to be fair the salon is not bad for a basic cut - service is good enough - some staffs better than others...I came here because of good reviews and even read up on their website ---- but in my experience it was a bit of a fail. I sent one of their photos of past work and basically asked for the same thing w the same stylist. The appointment was made although they did not tell me anything about it except for a confirmation on time, no stylist name or price or even how long the process would take. I arrive to the salon - friendly greeting and all - showed me the pic to confirm that was what I wanted and just sat me down and started. It all felt bit awkward - no eye contact no consultation or review of the process - just started saran wrapping me up...
Color comes out and its like too red ..half looked right and half didnt look right .. bit of a mess. I remained calm and just sat through since there was very little conversation ( not much english here ). Stylist says yes it is too red lets add some blue - do you have another hour? ( already like 4 hrs later) Im like ok if thats going to fix it...? ( being totally patient and not even revealing my frustration) We did another dye ( scalp burning by this time and totally regret having to go through with this extra damage to my hair and lost of time)
Color comes out and ---- I basically have gone back to my natural hair color. Why pay and suffer just to get back to something I get for free and started out with? NO IDEA. Is this a life lesson? NO IDEA.
Explanation was that there was too much red ( who put too much red in the mix then? hmmm) and the blue that was used to correct it, will fade and the color will gradually become that color I wanted ( explained it to me like yeah thats how it happens ) --- but then again I wonder why do i have to wait... ? When the girl in the photo got that color right away....and probably with one try ( which is the NORMAL WAY) ? NO IDEA. LAME EXCUSE. -_-
I looked at him and was thinking WOW........but politely said its fine and THANK YOU. I feel that a few of the girls there knew what I was thinking. I got a small discount from the lady in front.. which was nice ...but I was like burning up inside.
No info from salon beforehand and my result was $100USD, 5HRS of my time, scalp burn ( still numb) and worst part - LAME EXCUSE for messing up on the color, NO APOLOGY. Owning up and giving a straight up apology would be a better idea rather than taking your customer as a fool. AND I am not/ customers are not for color experiment -...
Read moreYesterday I had my worst experience ever at FaB Bangkok Tong Lo - I highly discourage you from trying this shop. I am extremely dissatisfied with my hair and with the unprofessionalism of all the staff. After agreeing on the color and style that I wanted and picking together various pictures as a reference (below)...the final result was very different and above all at least 4 tones darker than what we agreed. The staff was very rude with me when I requested them to kindly fix my hair, and they kept repeating me that I got exactly what I asked for, notwithstanding clear difference with the pictures that we picked together. When I underlined how different the front and the back for my hair are, they replied that “the color of any hair it’s different between the front and the back”. I’ve been extremely kind and settle the super high predice of 6k THB out of the promise that I could have gone back this week to fix my hair.... of course as soon as I reach home they wrote me on messenger that they will do only if I pay again the full...
Read moreGot a colour and cut. There wasn't much of a consultation, just what colour and how long I wanted my hair. Maybe because of the language barrier (one lady said she spoke better German then English). Colour came out darker than I wanted, but still very happy with it! I'm also not too fussed about my hair, so if you care a lot then maybe go to another salon.
Got a nice scalp massage during the washing process, which I enjoyed as well.
Location a bit hard to find. If you come to the building: walk past the first entrance, past the downward slope to the parking, and then you will see the entrance...
