Do not confuse this with the 1260 stairs to the monastery on top of the mountain. To reach this Wonderland hike, walk past the start of the 1260 stairs until the end of the wide access pathway to the "wat" at the end. This is a far easier hike and if you have a late start to the day and/or are worried about your fitness to climb the stairs, then this is a fitting way to spend your time here as well. The trees sequester the heat so its certainly cooler than in the sun and its not a strenuous walk at all ( approx 2km max round trip) . Loved the trees and the flora on this route. As well as the cultural immersion re the monk huts, along the route. Definitely worth the visit !

Most people only go to the golden Buddha on the mountain and are so exhausted afterwards that they don't visit this path at all. It's about a 30-60 minute walk through the boy and really worth a visit
