This is a different way up than the one to the Buddha on the hill. We missed it on our first time visit and we were so glad we came back. This is the stairs at the left side of the Guanyin temple. Only a short way up, then down in the jungles at the back of the mountain. There’s a loop jungle trail starting at the monks’ meditation cabins and the temple. Following the signs to several caves, many giant trees and ending up at the temple again. The trail is not long. We walked very slowly to enjoy everything and it took us maybe about an hour.
