Situated high in the mountains of Northern Thailand, Mae Salong is an amazing area. Stayed at a wonderful guest house and then visited the morning market before heading up the 718 steps to the Queen Mother's residence on the top of the hill. Once there, you could see forever. The view of the town below was beautiful. We visited the Chinese War Museum, the Tea Plantation, some hill tribes and then the afternoon market. It was a wonderful two days.
