A very nice beach but for Some reason loads of glass is lying around so watch your feet!! The glass ranges from newly sharp bits to ground down bits that are harmless. The beach itself is very clean of plastic waste, few stones and not many shells to. This makes a great Place To go and enjoy swimming, snorkelling or just sunbathing. Plenty of bars/restaurants along the beach to quench your thirst. From this beach I think you can also go fishing, a few boats around but not many which makes it pleasent and safe to swim. Well worth a visit just for the sunsets but the ao yai beach...
Read moreSurprisingly nice little beach on Phayam island (west side of the island). A lot of naturally formed rocks with a lot of nice photo spots especially in the evening before/during sunset. Highly recommend if you stay in Koh Phayam for a night or two. We stayed in blue sky resort. Rent the tractor with trolley from the hotel with 15 mins ride thru the village to the beach. Convenient enough for activity before dinner. Once we took enough picture and sun completely disappear, we headed back to the resort and dinner is ready. Good...
Read moreLovely beach. Crucially, you can swim at any time. It's really a beach of two halves. The "Hippy Bar" half (Northern half) is the one where you can swim all the time but the resorts are a little more intrusive on the look of the beach. A rocky outcrops stops you walking to the southern half which really looks like a deserted beach. The resorts are set back, are a little cheaper, have some beautiful and simple rooms overlooking the beach but..... The tide flies out, and you can only swim at high tide....
