Visited Phra Phutthamongkol Maharat during my trip to Hatyai, and it was one of the highlights of the trip. This place is a must-visit if you want to experience a peaceful and spiritual side of Hatyai while enjoying some of the best views of the city.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They greeted visitors with a smile and were happy to offer directions or assistance when needed. Even though it’s more of a religious and cultural site than a typical tourist attraction, they made sure everyone felt welcome and respected the space.

The environment is incredibly peaceful and calm. The large golden Buddha statue is breathtaking up close and radiates a sense of serenity. It’s beautifully maintained, and the surroundings are clean and well-kept. The whole area feels like a perfect spot for quiet reflection, meditation, or simply taking a break from the busier parts of Hatyai.

One of the best parts of visiting Phra Phutthamongkol Maharat is the view. Because it is located on a hill, you get a stunning panoramic view of Hatyai city below. It’s especially beautiful in the morning when the weather is cooler, or in the late afternoon when the light is softer — perfect for photography.

There is no entrance fee, but donations are welcome to help with the upkeep of the site. You can also light incense and say a prayer, which makes the visit even more meaningful for those seeking a spiritual moment.

Overall, I highly recommend visiting Phra Phutthamongkol Maharat. Whether you come here to pray, meditate, or just enjoy the scenery, it’s a peaceful and memorable experience. The combination of the magnificent golden Buddha, the calm atmosphere, and the amazing city view makes this a must-see...

One of the most well-known landmarks of Hat Yai. From the Hat Yai municipal park, you need to ride a shuttle called Pikachu, which very cute. The other alternative is you can bring your own vehicle, but the terrain is so extreme. The temple located in the very top of the hill, so you can see the entire city of Hat Yai and as far as the Songkhla lake in the city of Songkhla. It has cable car service but unfortunately out of service until the end of October 2022. The main attraction here is the Buddha statue that stands around 15 meters, blessing the city. You can find an altar in front of the main Buddha statue, as well as the main praying room underneath it. You can find some smaller temples surrounding the main one. Visitors are allowed to pray, taking photos, and climb to the base of the main statue. It is scorching hot in October, so you better equipped with umbrella and sunscreen. Oh ya, you can find a gachapon machine right beside the altar, which fairly...

This temple is home to a sacred Blessing Statue of Guan Yin Bodhisattva, intricately carved from white marble as a tribute to the 50th anniversary of the King's ascension to the throne. The statue embodies peace, compassion, and divine blessings.

The entire structure is crafted from eight blocks of white marble, standing 9.9 meters tall and weighing 80 tons. Its flawless craftsmanship and pure white appearance radiate a sense of serenity and holiness. On April 7, 1997 (Buddhist Year 2540), a three-day consecration ceremony was held, marking its official blessing and sanctification.

Beyond being a sacred place for worshippers seeking blessings, this temple is also a cultural and historical landmark. Visitors can immerse themselves in the profound Buddhist atmosphere and experience a moment of tranquility and...
