I feel as though I have to be honest so other woman have a warning, because I went based off of the 5 star reviews.

Although yes Mahmut is helpful, I got the impression it was only because I was a solo young female. He made proposals to me of coming to live and work there as well as asking about my boyfriend or relationships back home. I was the only one in the studio with him and he was very close to me on wheel as I tried to work, I did not feel comfortable to say anything. As soon as I said I had a partner he started to almost completely ignore me and lose interest.

My friend and i did a pottery workshop with Manmut and it was alot of fun. Mahmut collected us from the main part of cappadocia where we were staying and took us to the gallery and pottery studio in his car, explaining about places on the way. We had tea, met his cousin who did a pottery demonstration and were given clothes to put on over the top. Then we were given clay and a wheel to play with. Mahmut was really encouraging to us as first timers! They make it look easy but it isn't. At the end we looked around the gallery and all the pottery and Mahmuts painting designs were beautiful!...
