We booked this through our travel agent and it was sold to this on the premise that if we booked two excursions, we would get “free Turkish bath”. We were encouraged to go at the beginning of our trip and we were offered multiple times to go so it seemed like a no brainer. On arrival we were taken into a dimly lit room and were presented with a menu of treatments include massages. As we were a party of 2, I politely declined as I just felt something was off. And immediately the managers face changed as if he was pissed off. We were then offered a package for 2 which worked out around 60€. When we agreed he went back to his smiley friendly persona which just added to my anxiety. You also felt you were obliged to take it as it seemed too good to decline. So we agreed however, as we were offered a free Turkish bath. I didn’t bring enough funds as I didn’t feel I needed to carry much cash. The venue itself doesn’t have a separate changing room for men and women. Everything is shared. There wasn’t anything discussion if we would wanted a female therapist or not so all the services we received were by men. We were told to go into the sauna and steam room with a man just standing outside and every time I came out he would just come over to me but provided no direction or instructions. It just felt strange. As waited for our massage we had to go upstairs and wait on the terrace which was very strange. It would have been nice for them to have a better set up to ensure comfortable as opposed to just sitting in a towel on a mat. The massage therapists were women however there’s no sight of them around unless you book a massage. Just a strange vibe. Not what you expect when you go to a place like this and intend to have a relaxing experience. I spoke with our holiday rep about this and shared my concerns.

Today me and my friends went to this place. I have never had such bad service in my life. People there don’t care about you at all. I really wanted to try Turkish bath and I had the most unpleasant experience with this place. They talked rude, no explanation what to do, where to go. When we started to changed our clothes, a man came to the changing room. After my question “is it for ladies and man?” The man, his name Mehmet told us: changing room is unisex. To be honest I was really surprised. Turkish bath is about 5 mins. I asked ppl who work there to do a really good bath, and actually they did! And at this moment again The Man Mehmet came there and started to hurry us up. After that we asked for tea and its extra charge, water is extra charge. Just wow how ppl there treat tourists and don’t care about service. Also when we had massage, we had a kid with us and we asked politely several times to do light massage to the kid. Actually we asked several times but as I said people there really don’t care. What I felt: they want only money and that’s it. It’s a disaster. People pay money and what do they get? Rude attitude, zero service and when we asked for license, they refused to show us.

Please don’t believe in ANY good reviews you see of this place! this place is pricey & they won’t give you the desired treatment at all. I’ve been to many massage places around the world and this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. The place is in a very shady area where you don’t even get where to enter exactly from. Poorly understaffed, there was no woman at the reception to assist a female customer. After lots of discussion and bickering whether we should take a package that includes a sauna, a “traditional” Turkish bath which wasn’t how traditional baths are & a 30 min massage or just a massage. We unfortunately went for the package that costed us 60 dollars/ 55 euro per person. They asked us to change into towels & proceed to the sauna and legit had to walk in towels to the sauna and again, no female attendant for me. I was uncomfortable I didn’t want another man to see me in a towel. After being annoyed by this, My husband and I went into the sauna which was unbearably hot like we couldn’t even keep our feet on the ground it was burning hot. There’s always a comfortable temperature for that, pathetic experience worst 10 min of my life. No jokes. Then we taken to the Turkish bath area where they asked me to wait for a female attendant to give me the traditional Turkish bath while they give my husband the bath. Mind you, traditional Turkish bath is never meant to have men & women in the same vicinity but still, we went with it. My husband got his “traditional” bath which was underwhelming cuz that’s not what we had heard about the Bath. I got bathed by a rather smelly woman who stunk the whole bath area up which was so weird I felt like with the steam and water, I started smelling like her 🤮 then they asked us to proceed upstairs for the massage and we were in our towels again which was so stupid for us that really… we have to walk up 20 stars in the towel and go upstairs where the massage rooms were. When we reached upstairs, people stared and it was too uncomfortable even for my husband. They took us to the massage room and there was no privacy whatsoever. There were 6-7 compartments which had net material see through curtains that one could easily spot the other person lying naked on the massage table 💀 pathetic pathetic experience and the masseuse felt like she was doing me a favour that she’s massaging me clearly she wasn’t a proper masseuse 😷🤐 the place was not even properly cleaned up. Smelly rooms, smelly towels (seriously I got a bad rash) and just the whole...

My partner and I attended the Sultan today for a Turkish bath experience. We had no idea what to expect but we're so pleased with the service, we went in the evening and we're not disappointed! We were invited in by who I'd assume was the owner, he offered all the services and we added on a massage (30min bronzing oil with facemask) The sauna was lovely and had the room to ourselves, we were offered to stay in as long as we liked, we were then taken to the Turkish bath marble room, although older in style it was nice and again we had the room to ourselves. I can imagine if the place was busy it could be intimidating for those who want a private experience, however Turkish baths are not designed for a private experience. We were individually rinsed with warm water and scrubbed down with a salt mitt before getting bubbles and soap cleaned, this part could have lasted longer, however we were happy with what we received as a basic package. The 2 gentlemen who carried this out, we're in good humour and made us laugh, this is not a relaxing part of the historical ritual so if this is what you expect, please add on the massage... Because that was sensational! Both my partner and I were invited to sit on the roof terrace with comfortable floor cushions and wait for our massage, it had lovely views and you can opt to pay for a drink if required. THE MASSAGE.... If you do not do anything else... Get the massage!! Equally we both had lovely massages, however the massage I got was sensational and I really appreciated the privacy the young man gave me. He made sure I was covered at all times and asked before going more intimate such as my chest and bottom areas for the massage. If you are from the UK, you know that a massage is never "close and personal" but I have to say it was very professional and I came away feeling like a baby and having one of the best 30 min massage so far! Turkish bath experience could be slightly improved but my 5 starts has to be for the massage! And door to door service to the hotel was a cherry on the cake! Id recommend going at a quieter time for a more personal...

Great experience, but I imagine quite a different one if you don’t go for the “upsell”.

We booked this through GetYourGuide, which included a transfer to and from where we were staying.

On arrival, we were greeted by the dude with the big hair, who sent everyone arriving upstairs. Group by group, we were summoned into the “office” where he went through the various extras you can have on top of what you get through the booking.

In the end, he offered us (me and my girlfriend) a 30 min massage, and two facial procedures for €50, which we took as we planned to spend some extra money anyway.

From other reviews, and from the demeanour of the guy speaking to us, there was almost an expectation that we’d buy something extra, and that if you didn’t, you’d get the cold shoulder for the rest of the visit.

Anyway, once we paid our extra, we were led by his staff first to the Sauna, where we stayed for 10-15 mins. Then you get to cool in the “shock pool” which was just a small pool of cold water. Then, you get to go into the Steam room for 10-15mins.

Once you do all that, you get to do the actual “hamam” traditional Turkish bath. In this room, there were two members of staff who summoned each person up to the middle, where you lie on a raised “plinth”, where a member of staff does the Turkish bathing. You get rubbed down with a rough cloth, covered in soap and massaged from and back.

After that, without buying any extras, I believe that is all you get. You would then be sent upstairs to the waiting room, while you wait for anyone else you transferred with to finish, for you to all go back.

As we had brought extras, we were then sent into the massage room upstairs, where two lovely ladies gave me and my girlfriend the extra massage and facials we paid for.

All in all, a really relaxing experience. If you plan to book this, I’d recommend being prepared to spend some extra money, as without any extras it’s a bit thin...
