I’ve been a loyal Al Meera client for over 15 years—our first encounter was when your team built our beautiful kitchen in Al Reef, Abu Dhabi. That project was seamless and effortless on our side, and the kitchen remained in excellent condition until we moved recently to Yas Island.

This feedback is written with fairness and sincerity, not to find fault but to contribute toward improvement and to strengthen the long-standing relationship we’ve enjoyed with Al Meera.

Our project engineer, Nour, made a wonderful first impression—accommodating, approachable, and a pleasure to work with. He took the time to listen and captured my design concepts and colour themes beautifully. Nour’s cooperative attitude and openness to feedback are qualities I truly admire. However, closer follow-up and more, intuitive, proactive site checks could have helped avoided some inconveniences.

For instance, our shoe cabinet was built with each shelf at 27.8 cm height, reducing storage efficiency despite my request to maximise shelving. I also mentioned that the lowest shelf should be at least 40 cm in height to fit my husband’s work bag, but that was missed and later had to be rectified, extending installation time. Another issue arose in the pantry area, converted from a maid’s room. I had requested 20–30 cm of blank wall space to mount a Dyson vacuum and access the nearby light switch, but when the cabinets arrived, that space was fully occupied, leaving only a narrow 4 cm gap to reach the switch. Both study desks were also initially installed too high—at shoulder level when seated, an oversight that could have been prevented with more careful measurement review. There were also a few miscommunications regarding electrical outlets, which were at times blocked or overlooked during installation.

That said, I want to express my utmost appreciation to Surendra and his on-site team, who were the saving grace of this project. Surendra’s professionalism, technical expertise, and commitment were nothing short of impressive. His ability to find swift, practical solutions under pressure was remarkable. From promptly adjusting study desk heights to reconfiguring blocked outlets, concealing cables neatly, and resolving every challenge with calm precision, Surendra and his team handled it all with exceptional skill and dedication. After observing them for nine days, I can confidently say there’s little that Surendra and his team cannot accomplish. Their attention to detail, courteous attitude, and cooperative spirit transformed what could have been a stressful process into a reassuring one. I’m deeply grateful for their hard work and for restoring my confidence in the project.

While the installation process was somewhat unstructured, work in multiple rooms began simultaneously, and last-minute schedule changes caused inconvenience—the final outcome exceeded expectations. Our study rooms are now sleek and contemporary, the pantry has become a highly functional secondary kitchen, and the laundry room is organised and refined.

In hindsight, clearer communication and proper 3D renderings from the start could have prevented many early misunderstandings. I also acknowledge that I could have reviewed the detailed dimensions more thoroughly. Nevertheless, I’m truly appreciative of Nour’s cooperation and Surendra’s dedication—both displayed genuine care and passion for their clients.

Overall, I would rate this a 3.5-star experience, not due to lack of effort or skill, but because of the sequence of miscommunications that made the process more challenging than expected. Despite this, I remain confident in Al Meera’s capabilities and hopeful that future projects will build upon the lessons learned...

I’ve worked with Al Meera on kitchen projects and they are just fabulous! They have a range of style offerings and all at the highest quality standards whilst offering incredible value for money. As an interior designer, I work with several kitchen companies but prefer Al Meera as they are a well established company with a local factory allowing me to check manufacturing progress.
