Assalamalaikum - To the Director - Please forgive if my language is harch - It is observed that most of the Sharjah city shops are getting haunted day by day and streets shops are found vacate and many places. how the economy will boost if the trade is not developing. It seems that the departmetn is more replying on residential housing revenues rather than developing core trade retail and industrial sector. Sharjah Industrial area is more than 35 years old ( rther one of the oldest Ind. Area in GCC ) but still lacking the basic amentites like road / street light / pedestrian walk ways / sewage line etc etc. feel pitty for those who leased the premises and developed the industries and Sharjah economy with more than 2 generation of hardship. what they get in return ? dusty roads / irregular electricity / no sewage line / no recreational facilities nothing... if authotiries has concentrated with better facilitues and support - it would have been much more than JAFZA and Other UAE Ind. Area units. Examples are other Emirates where - the basic infrastructures are availble before any land is sold for development . Coming generation nad Enterprenues are looking all such thing before inveting their hard money. Days are gone where it was promise for future development and people will invest. Many Many option are available now to choose from. Moweilah residential area is more than 15 years and still all inner road are un paved. Check same of Ajman as recently developed residential block are fully paved and continue so. All shops are busy day night and open. If Sharjah need the economic development - concentrate more for residents and business raher than Heritage and Culture ( ofcoarse that is also to be cared but ) who need - business opportunities and need to invest. force land lord to redue the shop rents - reduce licensing fees - 10sq.mtr of shop area means 1 employment visa -- think that way that more emplyed popultion means more...

Please guys think 100 times before doing any business In sharjah. Because even if you do things legally it's still very complicated. Better invest a bit more money and open a business in dubai!
