Sharjah Media Centre (SMC) was established under the direction, guidance, and patronage of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah in order to highlight the emirate’s ongoing progress and development as a promising centre for media and culture. It was necessary to take into consideration the tools needed to achieve the aims of Sharjah Media Centre. These aims can be summarized in advancing Sharjah’s media presence and standing. Towards achieving its aims, Sharjah Media Centre launch on of its first projects, a Media Centre that will serve media professionals and all their needs. The Media Centre will also complement academic institutions that graduate young media professionals, through various training and supplementary courses. The Media Centre can also be the place to hold different civic events on thoughts, culture, economy, and literature, just to name a few. It will be the venue of choice for regional and international specialized conferences that serves media...
