Looks good and decent enough machines for the space it has except for.. no free weight squat rack but has 2 smith machines? Ok. It’s day 2 and still no toilet paper in the one and only women’s toilet..
Update: lowering my review to 3 stars
The gym does not supply toilet paper and only supplies rough paper towel ….
No partial or half weights for the cable machines… for example I have to jump from 55 to 70 for my lat pull downs…
The cardio machines All face out into the bright blinding light and sand… reflects it all back at you.. would be better if they had some cardio machines facing in.. I have to use sunglasses to bear this.. even that’s not enough I will just do my walking backwards
Have to make a lot of adjustments to my program since they lack the machines for bodybuilding (No incline press machine, single arm plate loaded row..
Small gym but you’ll get a good enough workout
Update: oh the use of scents of the cleaning supplies or the air freshing sprays are too much…. Can barely breathe in here….
Music is always the same
Update: Officially despise coming here, they use Dr.Scent on every part of the wall almost, and stinks up the whole gym with artificial scents that are sickening and so strong you can smell it from outside the gym before entering.
I got a couples membership deal so I’m stuck forced to come here because of the close location until we can find a different gym.
There are horrible health consequences to breathing in artificial scents, one can just google about it.
I absolutely hate anything scented, it’s disgusting, and they definitely over do it here. How can I push hard in my workout and breathe in these toxic fumes.
We already brought this up at the front desk, and they said they use the scents to cover up “body odour” but in the day there are hardly any one in the gym.. there’s no problem from body odour.. just tell your members to wear deodorant if they want… or use air spray if you absolutely need it to remove stench.. you really do not need these scent machine operating on full, on all hours of operation. It just doesn’t make sense. Lowering my rating to 1 star because I never want to be here. But at least I’m finally seeing them supply toilet paper sometimes… Also after watching people I figured out how to turn the smith machine into a free squat.. and how to had the half weights on the cable.. just use a 2.5 plate and hang it off the pin..
But seriously I feel like I need a gas mask. If you have fully running Air conditioning doesn’t that clear out any potentially lingering body odour? I think the air fresheners are excessive and unnecessary.. I don’t think Body odour is a problem during the time I go and plus it makes me feel nauseous and dizzy. I walk backwards on the treadmill to avoid facing the bright outdoor light. I’m leaving.
Leaving this info here:
Smelling artificial air fresheners can expose you to harmful chemicals like phthalates, formaldehyde, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which can irritate the lungs, trigger allergies, and exacerbate asthma. Prolonged exposure to these toxins can also increase the risk of serious long-term health issues, including hormone disruption and cancer, as substances like formaldehyde and benzene are known carcinogens. Over time, these chemicals can accumulate in the body, potentially leading to respiratory, reproductive, and other types of cancer, while also negatively impacting indoor air quality, causing headaches, dizziness, and respiratory problems.
update: gained 1 star for the toilet paper supply and they actually did something about the windows to tint them dark.. still I get nauseous every time I come here...
Read moreI've been a member at Fitness Nation Gym, IMPZ Dubai, for over a year now, and while the gym facilities and equipment are decent, there are serious concerns that need to be addressed—particularly around locker room security.
More than 90% of the lockers are not functional, and the ones that do "work" are extremely flimsy—lighter than paper. Even when locked, they can be easily opened, which defeats the purpose of having lockers at all. Most of the time, staff ask members to take the key, keep their belongings inside, and take personal responsibility, which is not acceptable in a professional gym environment.
In the evenings (especially between 6 PM and 10 PM), the locker situation becomes even worse. There are only about 20–25 working lockers, while the gym has 50+ users at that time. As a result, many members are forced to leave their gym bags outside.
To make things worse, there is a gym staff member—supposedly a cleaner—who is always sitting inside the locker room on his phone, completely inattentive. Just yesterday, someone stole money from my bag, and all my cards were taken out. This is absolutely unacceptable.
I’m sharing this so that new and existing members are aware and take proper care of their belongings. I sincerely hope the management takes these issues seriously and improves locker security, staff attentiveness, and overall safety of...
