I’ve lived in the UAE for over 15 years, and this has genuinely been one of the worst service experiences I’ve encountered. I decided to hire Plants World AE for a 6-month plant maintenance contract after reading mostly positive reviews. Unfortunately, my experience with them has been extremely disappointing, not just in terms of service quality, but also in how the company handled the situation.
From the start, I clearly informed them that our office had brand new, healthy plants. I even shared a detailed document with photos and plant names, and explained that if we were satisfied after 6 months, we would consider a yearly contract. However, once they began their visits, I noticed their maintenance consisted only of basic watering, no preventive care, no treatments, nothing close to what was agreed in the contract.
When I raised concerns about pest prevention and proper plant care, they assured me it would be handled going forward. Unfortunately, nothing changed. Some of our plants developed issues, including ROTTING AND INSECT INFESTATIONS, especially in one of our main (and expensive) feature plants. I shared photos and raised the issue with them professionally, only to be told bluntly that the plant was too expensive to replace and that they were terminating the contract.
Instead of addressing the issue, they immediately sent me a termination notice and promised a partial refund for the remaining contract. I made it clear that the contract was still in effect and I would only agree to the termination once the damaged plant was replaced. Despite this, they stopped attending maintenance visits and completely neglected their responsibility under the still-active contract.
After repeated follow ups, I was passed to someone named Hameed, who also initially refused replacement. Only after pushing the issue further did they finally agree to replace the plant, weeks later. Once the plant was replaced, I shared the company’s bank details for the promised refund. For three weeks, I received the same response: “We will speak to finance about your refund payment.” No action was taken until I had to call again and remind them that this delay was also a breach of contract. Only then was the refund processed.
Communication throughout this process was unprofessional and dismissive. Messages were ignored, and I was met with rudeness instead of accountability. This is not just about poor plant care, it's about poor service, poor communication, and a complete lack of professionalism.
I strongly advise others, especially those with valuable plants or who expect even basic levels of responsibility, to avoid this company entirely. They failed to deliver on every aspect of what they promised, ignored the terms of their own contract, and only acted when pressured repeatedly. Their service was careless, their attitude was dismissive, and their way of handling problems was completely unacceptable. For a company that claims to care for plants...they couldn’t even handle...
Read more24th September 2022 I am leaving another few words of appreciation for the Plants World team. I have worked with them for quite some time and this time my requirement was different. I had to leave around 15 indoor plants with Plants World Team during my travel. As usual, I dealt with Joanna who has been an excellent customer service rep, and my request to her was to take care of my plants until I am back after my 03 weeks journey, where I was asked to pay a fee, which I thought is reasonable.
The outcome is: The soil was replaced or filled up on pots where the soil was sunk. The overgrown plants were trimmed and re-potted. The plants were nourished. I was given 02 extra new plants. On-time collection and delivery
It was a collective instruction to the caretakers from Plants World Team Manager Hameed and Joanna.
Excellent teamwork and you both have built the trust of customers who have been working with you.

Read moreI strongly recommend NOT purchasing a vertical garden from Plantsworld. We installed one at our villa with 84 plants, but within just 2 months, more than half of them had died. The “automatic irrigation solution” did not work at all. Even with regular manual watering, the plants still died.
In addition to the poor performance, the system design itself is flawed:
The water piping blocks easily and does not deliver water evenly.
Too many plants are connected to a single pipeline, meaning those at the bottom never get water.
Standing water collects in the system, creating a breeding ground for mosquitoes inside the house.
On top of that, communication throughout the project was unclear and contradictory. I was told to install (and later remove) unnecessary piping, and only after installation did I learn the system needed electricity despite being promised it was battery-operated. Customer service was also poor, with immediate demands for payment before I could even confirm if the system worked.
I had four different quotes before choosing them, and Plantsworld was not even the cheapest. Unfortunately, I chose them believing they would be professional — but the end result has been disappointing, costly, and unusable.
They did not respond to my last formal complaint, nor did they provide a working solution. In my experience, this product is not fit...
