Chutney & Roll, Oud Mehta #ScamAlert
I usually don't give bad reviews unless something is really wrong and here at Chutney & Roll, Oud Mehta, this was the case.
I have Zomato Pro and I run my own foodies groups as well as my YouTube channel so I usually tend to share honest reviews and appreciate good efforts.
Today's review is related to deceiving rates and a restaurant trying to be a cheeky cheater.
Zomato Pro offers 40% discount at this outlet and that is on the menu available in Zomato, right? But what do you find out when you get there, they hand out a menu where the prices are mostly hiked up by 100% and then the waiter informs you that they are offering 40% flat discount on the bill so we don't have to use Zomato.
I placed the order and was waiting for my food when I realized that the prices were different from what I remembered seeing on the menu. When I stared to compare, I was right. Everything was almost at double price. So I called the waiter and also the manger who told me they will update it tonight. Funny thing is there reviews from other Zomato members calling out the same situation from months before. So what is the guarantee they will do anything about it.
I am sharing the in-restaurant menu and the screen shots from Zomato and you can all see what I mean.
I would like the Zomato team to take notice of this please.
I refused to go by their menu prices and referred to the Zomato online menu and made the payment accordingly on the Zomato app.
Also be aware that they will hand out another restaurant menu for Chinese food and claim there is no discount on that.
I hope the management/administration takes notice of this and corrects it.
Although the manager said they they have informed their management as well as their marketing team and the information will be updated tomorrow, I informed the waiter that I will give them 3 day and then check back. If nothing has been done about it I will escalate it further to ensure others are not falling prey of this cheating.
Now on the food, it was actually not too bad, some good some average. If they had done this fairly, it could have been a pleasant experience.
Hope this review is...

My recent visits to this restaurant have left me with a sour taste, and I feel compelled to share my less-than-pleasant experiences. Here's a breakdown of my concerns:
Unpleasant Staff Behavior: The staff's behavior was far from accommodating, and the overall treatment left much to be desired. A restaurant's success is not just in the food it serves but also in the hospitality extended to its patrons.
Overrated and Expensive: The menu prices are steep, and unfortunately, the quality of the food does not justify the cost. I ordered the chicken karahi, and it was disappointingly average. The grill items were the only saving grace, but they couldn't compensate for the overall lackluster experience.
Incomplete Order: To add to the frustration, despite ordering two naans, I found only one on my table when finishing my dinner. This oversight, whether intentional or not, reflects a lack of attention to detail in the service.
Tasteless Food: The food, in general, lacked the flavors I expected, especially given the high prices. The value for money is simply not there, and I found myself questioning why I spent so much on a meal that failed to impress.
In conclusion, I cannot recommend this restaurant to others. The combination of unfriendly staff, overrated prices, and tasteless food make it an establishment I won't be returning to. There are plenty of dining options available that offer better value and a more...
