I stayed at Studio 1 Tower May 25 - July 4 and spent the entire trip dealing with maintenance and bug infestation issues. I was promised a refund and now am being given a hard time. Here is the list of everything that went wrong. I have attached some photos out of the many for reference:
Arrival time was noted as 10-11 pm and the person coming to meet me said he was told 4 pm. So no one could address any problems when I arrived The bedsheet and mattress cover were dirty and took a few days to resolve. Resulting in my sleeping on not a clean bed. The ac unit was leaking from not being cleaned out and maintenance had to come repair that The oven was not fully functional the entire trip. It had to be reset each time to be used. The outlet cord was replaced a week before I left after me mentioning only one of the sockets in the strip worked A second set of keys were not received until about a week and half before I left when I requested two There were 4 different bug infestations the entire time I was there and there was one time they had to call pest control to spray and have me out the room for 4 hours. The bugs came back⊠and I had to be given bug spray for a separate infestation in the cabinet where the microwave is. After spraying that section myself, they appeared three more times. There were times I blocked the schedule, cancelled, or moved things around to have maintenance come and they never showed up. The shower door and kitchen sink were not sealed properly so they leaked â the bathroom and kitchen sink faucets were loose and needed to be fixed twice. â the kitchen sink pipe leaked and then popped off underneath and had to be adjusted cleaned out. I requested to another room and never got acknowledged for that the wifi stopped working for 2.5 days I spent literally the entire 6 weeks communicating about issues and being available for maintenance. I did not travel to come spending most of my time fixing the apartment
Again, I was told twice I would be refunded, contact the person I had been communicating with the entire trip since the refund never came through, and now he/the company is giving me a hard time about...

This company and the property they manage ruined our vacation - the property is a nightmare - everything in it is extremely old and broken. We requested when I made the booking that the sofa bed advertised on the site be prepared - it only had sheets and according to them, there was no need for a duvet to sleep there! I ordered and PAID extra for a baby cot - it wasnât a mattress to sleep on! According to them, they did not need to provide one! As soon as we entered the property, there was a flood - the sink in the bathroom was LEAKING and could not be used - NO ONE came to fix the problem! We stayed without BASIN in bathroom! After we said that this was absurd what was happening and we wanted to vacate the property early and get our money back for the unused nights /5 nights/, we were explained that this did not meet their policy and was not possible! All the time in communication with them I was explained that what I wanted was excessive and they did not expect that they should provide these needs of our stay - to have a mattress in a baby cot, to have a blanket to use the sofa bed! Maybe I should have brought these things with me in my luggage from the other side of the world, probably this is what the employees of this company do when they travel somewhere!    Read moreOur experience with StayShort was terrible and I wouldnât recommend them to anyone. The apartment we rented in Dubai had a bed bug infestation, which made the stay unhygienic and stressful. We immediately reported the issue and provided photo evidence (attached).
They did a deep cleaning but the bugs came back. Then they brought the pest control in and we were forced to leave the apartment for hours, only to come back to a strong chemical smell and still find bed bugs after a few days.
We asked for a proper solution or relocation multiple times, but instead the agency promised a 15% refund to keep us from leaving. We trusted them and stayed. Itâs now been over two months, they have been LYING about processing the refund, but no refund has been issued, and theyâve started completely ignoring all our messages.
We paid for a safe, clean apartment and got the opposite â unsanitary conditions, exposure to toxic chemicals, and zero accountability from the agency.
