It pains me to give you 2* as I've been going here since a lad aged 10.... I've seen the changes and I don't like it . Empty on a Saturday very very unusual and the prices were unreal! I was first shocked by the price of the big potatoes 4 for £2.99 wow! Then I see mama Poland there and I stated that £2.50 was far too much for a loaf of bread she automatically got defensive and said its the same as everywhere else . I stated nope not the case and have evidence below to prove so , there was also a look at the fridge to buy some cheese as cheese toastie was on the menu for lunch and it was £11.10 for a kilo ! I'll provide more photos below and they're more expensive than Waitrose. She may as well of said it is what it is and admit defeat. She told me to go elsewhere I said I will and won't be coming back.
As I looked elsewhere I looked at the Cannellini beans and they were .69p also cheaper elsewhere. I didn't even price match with Lidl or Aldi and tbh if they'd of been the same price I'd off paid it even if it was 10% more .
Then I see one of the old hat's.... Apparently there for Xmas doing the trees , I asked him what was going on with the prices as they're really expensive now he said he'll speak to the boss and pass on my feedback. Shame as I was initially met with hostility by mama but when I have 15 years of catering knowledge and some supply I felt that my opinion did not matter to her.
Anyway below I've added the prices at Waitrose for some price comparisons on the expensive premium products and you'll note they're at least 15%-20% cheaper . All because Mama wanted to argue with me and told a customer who's been coming here since the age of 10 to do one (in not so...
Read moreAlways a fantastic place to shop! The only thing that would make it more amazing is if they had a little tea shop. The nursery has wonderful variety of plants, stones, fencing etc.
The farm shop itself always has amazing specials - the last time I was there I managed to buy 6kgs of tomatoes for £2! There were many more similar offers. If you have never been, do make a turn, there's a little something for everyone!
2023 - I hadn't been to the farm shop for some time. It's amazing as ever! I would say to those weary of getting covid, be sure to social distance and wear a mask, the shop itself can become congested.

Read moreI have been going to this little farm shop since I was little with my parents. However since having children of my own this has sometimes been a place I have gone to when my son is up at the crack of dawn. We are always welcomed whatever time of day/night including my non verbal son, they all make an effort to say hello and include him which is rare in a lot of places. Some members of staff have even tried to learn good morning in makaton which is massively humbling. Tara, Ian Aderlina and Ross are all such lovely people as well as the others and it makes such a difference shopping with a special needs child. The organic range is better than the usual tescos I have bought before. And our Christmas tree is so beautiful. I would much rather give my money to this small business than large corporate especially with this type of customer service....
