Black Peppers Bristol — Local services in Bristol

Ordered a delivery for our anniversary and was really looking forward to it as we'd heard good things about Black Peppers. Unfortunately, the food took over 90 minutes to arrive (despite only ordered a regular amount for 2 people and living less than 10 mins away). The staff assured us it was 'only a minute away' when we rang to ask but that clearly wasn't true. When it did arrive, it was stone cold so not the nicest way to celebrate an anniversary as it was gone 9:30pm at this point.

Staff said they'd refund us but we havent received anything (this was almost two weeks ago). I've rung three times (different times, different days) and incredibly the manager is never in and no one else can process the refund. They've said they'd call back but never do.

We've all had a late delivery from time to time but I've never found it this difficult to get my money back for the rubbish service of inedible food.

So, Black Pepper, any chance of a refund? Or at least a phone call? You've got my number.

Looks like lots of people really like this place so I'm sure it's good... just won't be going in again to find out for myself. Will stick to...

I have tried this place once before because it is very close to my house but that time it took ages to come and when it did it had been packed badly and half the curry sauce was in the bag all over everything else. Decided to give it a second go as just come home from hospital and unable to go and collect anything and this is the closest but it Took 2 and a half hours to deliver my food. After the first hour I started ringing but an answer machine kept coming on so I left my number asking for an update. No one called and then when I tried ringing again many times the phone was picked up and put down. After 2 hours had passed someone finally answered and said my order had been overlooked and they would get it to me soon. After 2 and a half hours I eventually had my order which was disappointing as the chicken was so dry it was difficult to eat. This restaurant is not cheap so for the money spent it is definitely...

Let's talk about the mouthwatering food I had today. The chicken and lamb was so tender and juicy, and the creamy sauce for my curry was incredibly flavorful.
