Visit to PrimEvil scare attraction 29/10/22. Bitterly disappointing and a waste of money. I'm grateful to the staff that allowed me to change my visit date due to having covid though wasn't impressed for having to pay another £15 each ticket on top of what I'd originally paid. I was hyped for this visit. I've been wanting to come for years and heard such good things...but I don't think ive ever left somewhere so disappointed. Yes I'm glad I bought the fast track tickets, as the queues for the 5 "mazes" were huge. And those poor people only had 5hrs to get through a queue for maybe a 5/10min experience before it closed at 11pm. No proper signage for fast track/vip (it was right at the start of the maze) hidden by the massive queues of people. Had I had to queue to enter in what was probably an hours queue I'd have been horrified. Given photo vouchers you weren't told where you could buy them, but then again £12 for a photo I wasn't wasting more money. I've been a scare actor for 5/6years. And visited a fair few scare attractions. It's hard to scare me.There was so much missing from Primevil. Too many empty rooms with missed potential. The Route 666 was like a walk in dark woodland with a few scarers who were more funny than scary. Hell's Hollow...well the whole group at the end went "was that it?" And I didn't even know them. Can't say we were impressed to put a bag over our heads especially with covid still around. Eventually found out afterwards they were single use only. The Crypt - think I saw 1 or 2 actors, the strobe lights were beyond excessive with the intensity, it wasn't fun, and the headphones actually killed the experience for supposedly being scared. For me too many actors in about 3 mazes spoke and broke their characters illusion. I went to Horror at Hinchingbrooke last week, paid less than £20 a ticket and had a better time. And was made jump etc. Primevil I'm afraid to say was just not worth the prices and really needs to up its game if it wants to charge that amount. The highlight for me and my friend was the highropes course and the amazing friendly staff that were in charge there, although they were Roarr staff, I'd happily give them 5 stars. Unfortunately I highly doubt I will return. I'd rather pay less money and have a way...
Read moreGreat potential but very poorly organised. Massively oversold so there are far too many crowds. We arrived at 7 and left at 11 so were there for a full 4 hours but after stopping briefly for a food we only managed to fit in 3 of the attractions as the queues were massive. We had to queue for up to 45 minutes to get into each attraction so having this delay in-between each scare spoilt the evening. Would have been much better if it was organised to queue outside then enter in timed slots so you could hit all the attractions one after the other.
Covid protocol was lacking throughout except a few hand sanitiser pumps. At one point we had bags placed over our heads and couldn't help thinking how many 100s of people had been breathing and sweating into those bags!? Gross.
Plus points - the scares were quite good and done well (except the insane hospital so don't bother with it if you are stuck for time, which you will be!) and we enjoyed the burgers and hotdogs from junkyard.
I think if the organisers were to apply some kind of maximum capacity to the whole event then the customers would have a much better experience as they would be able to do all the attractions. Won't be returning to see if that ever happens. Shame really as it could have...
Read moreWas a fun evening and my 13 year old son enjoyed it. Some areas are much better then others, enjoyed the clown house but a couple of areas quite poor for cost of ticket. I paid extra for the fast pass (would recommend) but the signage for fast past queues is very poor. However, I was very disappointed in one ‘actor’ at the entrance to Mayhem Manor Hotel. My son and I walked to the fast past queue, past a long queue of visitors who were in the non-fast past queue. We walked to the front door of the attraction and were asked, very loudly, what we were doing and why we had walked past the sign? I apologised and said we didn’t see the sign (very poorly signposted) so walked back to where he pointed. This actor then walked over and read the sign, very loudly, and in a very sarcastic way. He then shouted to the people waiting that I had paid extra for a fast pass, and how did they feel about that, as they had been queuing longer. This was completely unnecessary and made my son feel quite uncomfortable as every one was then staring at us. He then let us in but kept referring to me as...
