Two of us turned up at The Queen of Hearts today hoping for a Sunday dinner. We were greeted by very friendly staff and made to feel "family" welcome from the very first word. We were given a table and served our drinks quickly, without feeling rushed. The beer was well kept and went down a treat. Given the choice of roast pork, turkey or beef, or one of the specials (Cromer crab salad, lamb shank, mash and veg, lasagne with salad and garlic bread or a fourth which I can't remember) we both chose the roast beef dinner. We were warned of a little wait as we ordered. In truth the food came out in very good time and the small wait we had was well worth it for a very well prepared meal of fresh locally sourced veg and meat, all of which were cooked to perfection and tasted fantastic. I will certainly be heading back here in the future as and when my travels bring me this way. Read moreThe queen of hearts does amazing pies! I had a lamb and mint pie and my partner had a steak and ale pie, mine was great but his was amazing!! A pound of meat in a large pie! The food wasn’t expensive either, only £10 something for my pie meal and £12 something for his large pie meal! The pies come with mash or chips, peas and gravy.
The place could probably do with some redecorating but the food was lovely and so were the staff!
