The problem with a staycation in the UK is that you never know what the weather is going to be like! But that is no reason not to book! Last weekend we stayed at the @leevalleypark Dobbs Weir campsite in their Big Chief Wigwam, and despite raining non stop apart from about 2 hours of sunshine when we enjoyed a bbq we had the BEST time. Even though our Wigwam was surrounded by water, we laughed that we had a new lake view with ducks coming to visit! The Wigwam gave us the perfect excuse to have fun as a family, playing games, reading together, watching films, eating, drinking and of course dancing in the rain! Why not hey! Camping isn’t really for us, but glamping is brilliant with all the essentials you need! Lee Valley have various sites and offer lots of options from camping, cabins, lodges, Safari tents, cottages to wigwams. Amazing place to relax and walk around....love to watch life go by,especially the barges and ducks. Very nice and peaceful watching the waters run by. Amazing food place near the river too so can't go wrong. Therapy for the busy rat race people!!
