Just went there and got the ‘chicken supreme baguette’ listed as £5 on the wall with a drink £1.50 so £6.50.
I paid by card I asked for a receipt they charged me £9.05.
When I contested this he said oh its because theres an extra charge for a baguette I pointed to there signage it and showed him it said £5 he then said oh its because I wanted salad in the baguette also which is an extra charge of 80p.
He then gave me the change back out of the till.
Everywhere else salad is normally free in sandwiches.
This was obviously just another made up charge.
The chicken supreme was meant to have bacon, chicken, sausage and ham.
When I got back to work to eat it there was no ham or bacon or sausage in it.
And about 5 small chunks of chicken.
Utter rubbish and utter rip off will not go there again.
They also messed up my colleagues order 1 Star
There was absolutely nothing supreme about it, I thought it would be a decent loaded sandwich by the guys description, if I hadn’t of got the added salad (of which I was charged extra for it literally would have been just a baguette with a small amount of mayonnaise and a few tiny cubes of the cheapest chicken you have seen.
If you want to go to a real cafe go to Anatolia or Tulip they are decent food and they don’t try and rip you off !

Read moreCame here for a quick breakfast. Stood in front of the till area for around 10 minutes whilst 2 staff were talking too each other and some guy was sat down with his head in his hands. After 10 minutes; the guy looks up and says,"are you sitting in or taking away" and then promptly tells us to sit down and wait for someone to come and take our order when we say we are "sitting in". That right there was awful. After a little wait, a lady comes over and begins to take our order - as we state what we want she makes two mocking remarks regarding our accent without the intelligence to further the conversation making it appear downright rude. Anyways, food was okay but must be rare in the south to get decent places considering its high rating. Come to the North! One young girl who brought our cups of coffee was lovely and the man who helped us pay the bill was...
Read moreAs a keen cyclist I go to many different places across Hertfordshire. This cafe is probably one of the best quality across Hoddesdon and the Lea Valley area. The food and drink is really worth buying and the hygiene is also also handled well. The staff are really friendly and I would highly recommend going here just to spend 20 minutes having a cup of coffee. Price wise the cafe charges good prices you don't feel ripped off after you visit. The location where the cafe is placed makes the you stay even more worthwhile as it is not too packed but not completely empty so you don't have to struggle getting a seat or its so empty that you feel like you are being watched. It's also nice to keep an eye on my bike whilst im spending a good 20 minutes there. Until my...
