Went last week and my child enjoyed it, but we won't be returning. The safety video at the start explains what you can't do and why, yet 95% of children there didn't follow the rules, so what's the point wasting 10 minutes making you watch it? The staff were very pleasant but as other reviewers have said both here and trip advisor, they did nothing to enforce basic safety protocols.
A lot of reviewers are seemingly unaware how unsafe trampoline parks can be when rules aren't followed and legs get stuck down the sides or a child gets double bounced by a larger one, have a google.
The rules listed which were broken constantly during our visit: ALWAYS bounce in the centre of the trampoline. ALWAYS jump and land on two feet. DO NOT land on head or neck. DO NOT affect another jumper’s bounce in anyway ALWAYS remain in control – walk on and off the court NO rough play or running
Most were running/falling bed to bed, completely out of control in terms of balance/where they were landing, particularly the younger ones. They were chasing about, causing the child already there to fall. The problem with trampolining in this setting is another child can easily injure yours, even when yours is one of only a few actually following the rules. The attendant did absolutely nothing, I have no idea why they're there?
The cafe looked clean, is full of the usual pop/crisps/junk but stinks of old chip fat (reminds me of Bradford...
Read moreEdit. Went back to half a trampoline park as they are building a soft play in the other half. This time we had half an hour of just us and 4 other children but by the end there were more children in than they had trampolines. This time we lost track of how many times we tripped over unsecured mats or gaps in the padding.
Once again went on the under 6 soft play and got shoved over by a much older child.
Last visit was this:
Very disappointed to book a under 5 toddler and parent session to find a children's party with kids a good foot and and half taller. We usually only go for the first half an hour as its open age after, but paid it get a session that's safe and suitable for a 2 year old and this was not the case. Lost track of how many times he was barged over by much older, obviously excitied and boisterous, kids, and didn't get to make use of all the facilities as groups from the party were there throughout the session. We had a very sad little boy. Didnt risk taking him to the soft play after as we had had enough of him being sent flying. The sign in reception says parents must supervise but there was an average of 4 parents who stayed to 25+ kids. We raised our concerns to a member of staff but they weren't interested - too busy showing off their trampoline flips ability to small children, one time almost crashing into l me out on the trampoline next to them. Guess we will be off...
Read moreWent to a fitness session here Thursday evening, would not have found it had it not been for a friend who had attended before and showed me how to get there as it was quite a way out of Halifax town. The atmosphere was nervous excitement, mainly from us Mothers who were anxious that we were able to survive the session without any incidents. The class was very good and was a good mix of aerobic fitness circuits along with trampolining and didn't feel like we had been working out as it was really fun. It was only once I got home and as I was heading to bed that I was reminded that I did do a workout as I struggled to climb the stairs as I was aching that much. The cost of the session was £5 and you are encouraged to book online as the classes get booked up quickly, you also need to sign a waiver online (you can also do this once you arrive at the venue as there was a station to do this) and purchase jump socks which cost £2. I thoroughly enjoyed this hidden gem and I have already booked my next session would highly recommend as I had one of the best nights sleep afterwards. The venue is open 7 days a week and has something for everyone. I'm going to take my 5 year old to get their verdict and will post a further review of his views. Just wanted to add, that the staff were friendly too. Huddersfield could do with something like this - please open...
