The Mill Cafe — Restaurant in Calderdale

Sunday lunch at The Mill. I had prawn cocktail to start whilst my friend had home made carrot and corriander soup, we both commented that we enjoyed. For main I opted for beef whilst friend opted for pork loin both served with homemade Yorkshire, roasts and mash and 2 veg. Friend was impressed with the Yorkshire whilst I enjoyed the aldente cooked veg. Unfortunately I couldn't manage a homemade sweet whilst my friend opted to take a slice of cheesecake home for later. Our cycling club Birdwell Wheelers rode our bikes to watch the Tour of Yorkshire and visited the cafe after the race had passed through. Got to say we all enjoyed the breakfast served by your staff and could not fault the food or the service. Took mum, we had never been before but we were going to B&Q and it's not that far from there. Mum had the small breakfast which wasn't that small. She really enjoyed it. I had hot beef sandwich and chips. Large teacakes with plenty of beef and the chips were nice too. Coffee was strong which I like. All in all it was good, staff very friendly.
