What a fabulous experience we had at Cedar Farm. Well worth a visit especially up to Christmas. You can meet all the elfs and share in the fun stroking and petting all the animals including the reindeer and her babies. Take yourself and your family through a tree forest and search for the elfs (14 I think) then through to an undercover tent where you can feed and touch all the animals because they are very friendly and used to people being around. You can see this from our fabulous photos the elfs and ourselves took. At the end of your visit and worked up at thirst, you can have a coffee, tea or even a little Christmas tipple with a mince pie or cake just before you leave to go home. We had a great time with you and your family....thank you 😘😘😘

Lovely shops , plenty handmade products , friendly and helpful staff , nice play area for children , animal petting area too , 2020 July called today after Shielding , Safety aspects in hand , plenty of sanitizers all around , some shops open others only open on certain days , had light lunch at Cafe , sat outside , tables well spaced out , staff friendly and attentive, had to give name and telephone number just incase anyone goes down with covid so they can contact us to let us know , food excellent I had sardine pate with lemon a first for me ,really enjoyed, friend had open prawn sandwich which she too enjoyed , felt nervous at first but by time meal had finished I felt more relaxed

A wonderful place for those of us who appreciate talent, great fresh food 🍲🍰🍮🍶🍷☕ & coffee (& don't like mass produced goods!) First opened some thirty years ago (eek I'm old!) it is the home/workshop of many talented individuals including glass blowers, jewellers, chocolate makers, potters, a photographer, picture framer & artists 🎨 materials, essential oils & associated products, ladies clothes, garden shop, hairdressers and beauticians & more. Regular workshops in a variety of subjects are held here regularly & there is a small animal farm too. Farmer's Markets with a variety of food & goods are held monthly (see website). A wonderful place between Mawdesley & Bispham Green villages.

Really nice little café out in the middle of the Lancashire countryside! We sat outside first and when weather turned we moved inside. Outside, it's a lovely cute little yard with some nice shops adjacent and inside, it's very tastefully decorated with original features and great big coffee pots which make it a nice place to sit and look around. We didn't have to do that for long as the service was very quick and wait for food wasn't long. The friendly ladies who were waiting on our tables were very jovial and I'm guessing a big reason many people keep coming back. Lunch was lovely - the filled croissants were delicious and intriguing! But the cake was what we came for, and it did not disappoint. My friend had sticky toffee pudding and it was huge! Mine was Bakewell tart, warmed with ice cream and that was lovely too. Prices were not expensive. After that we had a walk around the area where there are lots of nice shops and galleries and crafty things, plus there's a farm with chickens, geese, goats and a ram (we think!) which were nice to see! Lots going on here as well - classes and such so seems...

You requested a more detailed review, which I'm happy to assist with by editing this review.

Likes - I thought some shops were fantastic. The coffee shop in particular was excellent with a very good range and some of the other shops were also nice - the jewellers and the chocolate shop. I love the concept of the outdoor play area with the animals for the kids too.

Dislikes - I thought the promotion of a 'market' every weekend was a little misleading. There were 5 or 6 tables in a room and when we walked in, we were pretty much pounced on by the sellers. Whilst I appreciate some companies especially new start ups are enthusiastic; it was a pretty overwhelming experience.

I think there is lots of potential for Cedar Farm and I would return again to give it another go at some point, but as an experience on this visit I feel 3 stars is a fair...

A story of two halves. We had a lovely meal in the cafe, Food was reasonably priced and the lady who took our order was friendly and polite. Unfortunately our visit was marred by the service in the farm shop. The food was over priced and disappointingly a lot of it was not locally produced. The main issue we had though was the service. We picked up several items and put them on the counter. The store assistant was walking around rearranging odd items on the shelves at the back of the store. She looked over at us several times and carried on with her rearranging. After almost 5 minutes of being obviously ignored I called over to ask if we could pay for our items. The lady then sighed loudly and walked over to a different till and waited for us to move our items over to her. The only time she spoke to us was to tell us the amount owed. Very...
