Merdos Pizza Fish Bar And Kebab House — Local services in City of Edinburgh

Ordered three items and paid. Sat to wait, looked at the items on the board, added them up and realised we'd been overcharged by about £1. We questioned this and they said it was the price for "sauce". We said this was unusual and they offered all our money back. We refused this and questioned why we were overcharged. The (suspected?) owner, was extremely angered by this interaction. We simply wanted our order for the listed price.

The owner described the overcharge as an unlisted charge on the system for sauce. Something we said was an unusual charge. We questioned if this was added to every customer without question.

We were at no point arsy or aggressive to the staff, simply questioning the difference between the listed and charged prices.

We've been to this place for years and never seen it like this.

As locals, we were quite surprised someone was getting away with this....

1 star is far generous..staying in the local Travelodge and being out of the area were in that position where we chose to use these for an evening take out delivered to the door. Food arrived within 10 minutes ..lamb kebab and pizza. Gave a tip to the driver for the speedy delivery. Opened the container of the kebab and the smell was horrendous.. it had gone off!! ..called them back to collect and refund and the reply was..sorry dont understand ?? Its easy..its off I want my money back !! ..sorry we close now..its 10.30pm ..drive down to the shop.. closed and locked up... absolute scammers and the food is not for for human consumption..stunk the room out..asked the reception at the lodge to have a smell and they were embarrassed asking me to take it out of the area as it smelt putrid ! Dont buy from here ..absolute scammers and...

I got a small bag of chips and it was a very small portion at the cost of £2.20. The brown sauce was basically like water and didn’t have any taste. The full menu is overpriced for the area, the chip shop I use in town is cheaper and you get a bigger portion and the brown sauce is actually sauce. It’s a shame because I used to go to this chip shop a lot when I lived in the area. I don’t think...
