Lovely forest at any time of year. On the road from Coleraine to Downhill just opposite Bishop's Gate but thankfully not owned by NT so free. Different gradients of paths but nothing arduous. A bit muddy underfoot so wear sturdy shoes. Pretty pond surrounded by native trees and shrubs and lots of ducks doing what ducks do in the water. Great echoing noise when they quack . Fabulous chorus of birdsong and just a really pleasant walk. Part of the forest is under construction at the moment, something to do with water filtration I think but sign says it should take 12 weeks having started in January. Public sector so...
