Good Could Be Cheaper:
The facilities are generally good for a town of Louth's size. Most of the staff are fantastic, but the gym is massively let down by the "manager" who has been totally and utterly out of his depth since the day the place opened. They still, to this day, haven't had the guts to sack him.
This louth meridian centre has many sporting activities available for all ages such as large double swimming pool with clean facilities and changing rooms to spare, gyms and fittness rooms plus activities available for children's parties, all of these are inexpensive and an overall perfect day out....
Wonderful pool and paddling pool . Good cafe good viewing area. Great for kids and adults.
Absolute joke of a gym, been going there for a few years now and Brought a few mates for a one of gym session, told we were unable to come in as we haven’t had an induction in the past year. Told we weren’t be able to have an induction for at least 4 hours, wasted my time and fuel. I know rules are rules but the previous induction we had they told us we looked like we go to the gym so they didn’t show us round anything and that we can have a free session.
Parking situation awful. Why situate a leisure centre in a busy residential area?! Floors dusty & dirty every time we visit to attend birthday parties. The playing field situated next to this ugly building will most likely be turned into a car park.
NOTE: Copied some reviews I agree...
Read moreOverall, I’ve had a great experience with this gym and would normally give it a 5-star rating. However, my visit on the evening of April 29th, 2025, was disappointing and needs to be addressed.
At approximately 9:10–9:11 PM (depending on which clock you reference within the facility), the sauna room light was turned off without any prior notice, well before the stated closing time. Shortly after, despite still having 6–7 minutes until official closing, all the lights in the main gym area were also switched off. I proceeded to weigh myself in the dark, which was both inconvenient and unsafe.
To be clear, I think the staff are great and have always been professional. However, the increasingly early shutdown of facilities—sometimes before the official closing time—is starting to raise questions among regular members. Some were even saying the gym should return to its previous 10 PM closing time. I personally agree; it was a more reasonable and accommodating schedule.
This experience was far below the standard I’ve come to expect, and I will be submitting a formal complaint to ensure it’s addressed appropriately.
I must add if this issue I gets resolved in good time and conditions improve over the next coming month I will remove this post and write a fresh review more in tune with hopefully 5 star rating. But for now I...
Read moreA very clean swimming pool with friendly staff. The centre features a 25m main pool with a shallow end that can be changed in depth. Dedicated area for lane swimming is a regular feature and wristbands ensure a good amount of space to swim in. The kids pool features a play feature for smaller children with integral slides, and a larger slide for bigger children can be found at that end of the facility. Changing rooms are clean and dry. The staff have placed good Covid measures in place but they're not always adhered to by visitors. The cafe is what you'd expect from a swim centre cafe, with seating near a poolside window for parents to enjoy a coffee while the kids play, if that's your thing. Customers are encouraged to pre-book at the moment. All in all a great community...
