This festive season there’s a pop up real ice skating rink at Pirate Pete’s. My partner and I went the day after Boxing Day for a date without our baby. He had pre booked online and the tickets were £13.50 per adult. I personally think these are London/more commercial prices and for something like this £10.50 would be better. There isn’t a separate entrance so when you enter you directly are within the soft play reception. The ice rink itself is through a decorative tunnel and into the soccer room. There’s a lovely Xmas tree in the middle of the rink and I found the decorations really lovely. A note for improvement would be play Christmas songs not club music! The ice itself were chipped especially round the edges which caused beginners to be too scared to skate properly and staff began hacking away at it during the ice skating session which was a bit awkward. All in all something nice and different to do but definitely not for £13.50!

Rain was forecast today, and we're staying at a holiday park about 15 mins away, so we thought we'd book some soft play. Lovely venue with friendly staff, lots of well equipped areas for the children, and a nice menu to choose from. They were hosting a party whilst we were there, which seemed really well organised. Really great price, only £4 entry for a 2 year old and 2 parents. I noticed staff members consistently walking around, checking on children and play areas, which I thought was great! Highly recommended for anyone needing to entertain the children for a few hours!

Absolutely shocking food. We visited on Saturday with our children aged 4 and 5 and was given table number 18 or 19 next to the play area. (Cant remember the exact number) It absolutely stunk of urine. We had already ordered food as we was told on arrival that we needed to be quick with the food order. The food at this play area, prior to covid has always been really good so we ordered and spent another £20 something pounds worth of food on top of £15 entrance price. The food was absolutely awful. I have never had food so bad. The menu is very limited, which I guess is due to covid, so I ordered a spicy chicken burger. The chicken burger was very hard and tasted off. The chips were also absolutely awful. I had to leave them. My children normally have the lovely chicken nuggets so we ordered them. My kids wouldnt eat them so we tried them. I was nearly sick!! Honestly the food was shocking. Tasted of really old, dirty oil and very fishy. We asked for mayonnaise as well as a £3 slushie. The mayonnaise is definitely out of date and tasted almost like plastic but had no date on it at all. (I ask the staff to try it) We took the slushie back and asked the worker to taste what they was serving as it was so bad but he said he thought it was ok. We left very unhappy, being about £35 down for a 2 hour play with very poor food and drink and a very strong urine smell whilst ourselves and our children were told to sit at the table we was given and not able to move. It was horrible. I have used this place for 5 years but will...

Not Impressed. MORE TABLES PLEASE!!! Don't get me wrong the children love it and the food is a reasonable price but its impossible to get anywhere to sit if you go over the weekend or school holidays. When you have two children, one baby in a car seat, a nappy changing bag and coats and shoes for your children you do need somewhere to sit and to put your stuff down. The annoying thing is that UNLIKE all of the other Soft Play centres this one does not have its parties in a separate room. Instead they put three massive pirate boats in the seating area which only parties are allowed to sit in, even when it is overcrowded and no parties are taking place. If there is a party it is even worse as they put reserve signs on several of the tables as well. This only leaves a dozen or so tables for the hundreds of people who are in the venue to fight over. In desperation I did perch on the end of a reserved table and a very rude member of staff came up to me and ordered me to move as the table was reserved. I was not allowed to sit in the two empty pirate boats which could provide seating for up to 20 people in each despite NO parties taking place. When you spend nearly £50.00 on admission prices and food for the family you should be treated with more respect. I shall not be going again as this has happened every time I have been. IN fact many other families have complained about the same thing and have refused to go again. Some are even drafting up plans to open their own Soft Play centre, with loads of...

Came in here with my family and I am disgusted with how we have been treated by a senior member of staff. We came in with a carrier bag which had food/drinks that the kids had been eating on their way which was an hour and a half journey, she then sarcastically told us we aren’t allowed to eat anything other than what they sell which we said yeah that’s fair enough we were gonna buy something from here anyway.. she then constantly watched us and walked past us making us all feel awkward.. I asked her if the kitchen was nut friendly as I have a nut allergy then she threateningly leant on the table leaning over me and said she has a celiac allergy and she’s fine to eat here so I should be too when they are completely different allergies! She constantly kept staring at us and our kids which made us feel completely uncomfortable and ruined the whole trip there! My Mrs asked me if I wanted any chips from their canteen and the same staff member shouted over to her and said “ we don’t have nuts in our chips so you should be fine! Our allergy book is there if you feel the need to double check” I think it disgusting that the staff treat you that way and belittle you over an allergy you can’t help having! I would not recommend going there to anyone if you have any food allergies as all they’ll do is laugh at you and make you feel uncomfortable like you shouldn’t be in there!! I will never go there again and will definitely be telling people about my...
