Greggs — Restaurant in East Suffolk

I love Greggs but on my visit here recently for a bacon and sausage roll I was told I would have to wait 7 minutes for this. I looked over at the cooking area and they seemed to have plenty there and realised what was happening. This outlet in Pakefield has a Just Eat service and roll after roll was being filled up for a delivery as a Just Eat driver with his orange bag stood filling up it up with what was clearly a large order.. using up all the bacon and sausages that were ready to go..and I just had to wait until this was done before my single solitary roll I had ordered was available.. I guess the lazy people who sit at home come first than the actual people who are waiting in the shop! Heres a tip Greggs..how about keeping some food on standby for real customers visiting your store? Won't be going back to this...

In a prime location, this is a good sized Greggs with indoor seating & ample free customer parking that serve a wide range of sandwiches, baguettes, hot pastries as well as delicious doughnuts & cakes to go with a hot or cold drink of your choice, I chose one of their autumn pumpkin spice doughnuts with a cappuccino due to a recommendation from several of the friendly staff members behind the counter, i decided to eat in & both items were absolutely delicious.

I have the Gregg's app so the doughnut was free as a birthday treat, it's worth downloading as you get a free hot drink when you sign up & if you continue to scan your app every time you make a purchase, once you have 9 stamps then the 10th stamp is a free item in that...

My husband asked for a cup of tea and a bacon baps with no butter. Almost got given a latte, then reminded the service lady that the order was for tea. Picked up the tea and the lid wasn't on properly and the tea burnt his hand. When he pointed out to the assistant the lid wasn't on properly her reply was " it was!". No apology or checking his hand was ok. He left for work with his tea and what he believed was a bacon bap --- only to discover on arrival at work, she had served him a sausage bap. Dissapointing customer service when you don't get an apology or end up with food you didn't want...
