Jolly Friar — Local services in Eastleigh

We’ve just had a delivery (for first time) from Jolly Friar, AMAZING!!! We used to live close to JF so never used delivery. Now living further away & CV-19 forced us to get delivery. Words fail me as to how fabulous they are. Food is & always has been amazing! Price vary reasonable. Delivery on perfect time & with good social distancing. (I actually wish I could have given bigger tip! Last minute decision & not leaving house meant I couldn’t on this occasion. Next time I’ll be ready). I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I have ordered from the shop before and they have always taken card payments over the phone and we have always had a very good service and standard of food, I was told that they cannot take orders over the phone and to go through just eat. No major problem and I did just that this however was a bad decision, The order was placed at 7pm and after calling to see where it was after an hour I was told it’s on its way, the food arrived literally at 2048 tonight and it was virtually stone cold. Very disappointed as to why they won’t take card payment direct over the phone and wouldn’t recommend to anyone as it was cold...

Went here for a kids burger meal for my daughter. Stood outside waiting to order for 5 minutes while 2 families placed large orders in front of me. I was told they aren't doing burgers at the minute so just ordered a medium chips instead. After 10 minutes passed waiting for 1 medium portion of chips, I asked if they were ready yet. The lady serving said no they will be ready once all previous orders were completed first. I stood for a further 10 minutes before I got the chips. 25 minutes in total for a medium portion of chips just isn't for me so I won't be returning. The chips were...
