The park is truly exceptional, offering a plethora of activities that cater to all interests, provided the weather cooperates. Whether it's exploring the farm, cycling, swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, or simply taking a leisurely walk—there's something here for everyone. Pet owners will appreciate the dog-friendly paths, and families can enjoy a perfect day out with their children. The landscape is breathtaking, especially where the woods meet the river, creating a stunning backdrop for any activity. You can easily spend a couple of hours exploring without covering the same ground twice. The park includes a beach specifically for paddle boarding and kayaking. I've uploaded the pricing details and booking information in my pictures for convenience. The paths are well-maintained, making it a pleasure to walk, and you can even treat yourself to an ice cream halfway through your stroll. Additionally, there's ample parking available along the main road, adding to the...
Read moreThe River Hamble Country Park is beautiful! The cafe barn is under construction, and looks amazing. 😃 My 2½ year old LOVES the 2 wooden pirate ships in the playground area. There's so many different ways to play and has something for all interests! (photos show the pulley buckets that my little dude enjoyed filling and emptying with his dad). 🤭 We walked to the left section and followed the Strawberry Trail whilst exploring the woods. It took us to a section of steep steps, but lead up to a higher section with lovely views on the River Hamble! We've also walked on a trial to the right and got closer to the water - which was a popular spot for people to head to with kayaking equipment 🤗 It's also enjoyed by lots of dog walkers 👌🏻 you have to pay for parking before you leave the site and the barrier should lift...
Read moreLovely open green spaces for kids to play and families to have picnics as well as a lovely little play park. Quiet wooded areas to walk through. Plenty of parking but have never seen so much litter in a park before, it was constant throughout our 5 mile walk. Bottles, cans, fag buts, wrappers, poo bags etc which really spoiled the natural surroundings for us. You'd think with the amount they charge for car parking (we paid £8) they'd be able to afford to pay someone to go round with some black bags and pick up all the crap! The prices in the cafe were really expensive too considering you get hot drinks in paper cups. Also there are only 2 toilets which are unisex so had to queue a while for those. There are plenty of other places close by that are cheaper and much...
