Great beach for walk or run at any time of the day. I tend to qalk along the beach first thing in the morning, with the fresh breeze coming in off the water.

Rhe view on s good day is brilliant and worth going down uo the beach for.

The place is really clean and the beach area pebbled all the along the beach to Southend and Shoeburyness.

The only issue is most of the promanade area has parking meters so you either need to pay to pay or find a space on one of the side street. I tend to park on the one of the...

Lovely place to visit, lots of beach huts along the walk up to the bay. Dogs are allowed on the beach at this moment in time, a little bit pebbly and sandy but a fabulous walk for all. Loads of parking, some of it free and some places require payment. There are public toilets which are always clean. Overall I would definitely recommend visiting it's such a lovely peaceful place, perfect for clearing...

We visited on Sunday 13th June 2021. We chose this beach in Southend to avoid the busier beaches available. There are lots of sharp shells/stones amongst the pebbles so very uncomfortable walking bare foot (remember sandals especially for the kids) even whilst in the water. Super beach with relaxed vibes - that for me somehow echoed beach vibes in Europe. We caught the end of the day sun and had a nice dip. Lots of parking on the road just above the beach (that you would have to pay for during the day) - and relatively quiet road :)
