Bays are too narrow, no way to get out without touching (to say the least) someone else's car, someone in front of me parked out of the lines, so I didn't (I physically was not able to!) drive forward and then so called attendant started waving his hands and showing me that I need to park next to the badly parked car, there was no actual way to get out of the car! He was standing in front of the bay no way he didn't see what was going on, he just ignored that like all of this customer service does all over this country. He doesn't care about my property but I do! This driver started to tell me what I should and shouldn't do and both him and this attendant looked at me like I was to blame!!! Unbelievable!
When we came back, more than half of the spaces were empty, so I'm asking is it too difficult to start showing people EVERY SECOND bay first in the morning, so it's a possibility the car park will be almost full later, yes, but everyone will have a lot of space? AFTER it starts to get overfilled, ask people to park IN BETWEEN, simple? Well, not for everyone because it needs a brain to be functional in 1% of its capacity...
One star because there were plenty of spaces and a second star for the...
Read moreCar Park 1 at Chester Zoo exceeded expectations and made the start of our visit smooth and stress-free. Access was clearly signposted from the main road, and entry was well-managed with plenty of staff on hand to guide vehicles efficiently.
The parking bays were generously sized, which made unloading—especially with children and bags—much easier than usual. There was ample space even during peak hours, and the layout allowed for quick entry and exit without congestion.
The proximity to the main entrance meant we could get straight into the zoo without a long walk. It’s clear that thoughtful planning has gone into making this car park family-friendly and accessible.
A great first impression that sets the tone for a well-organised day out. Highly...
Read moreLovely day out, the rainforest and lemur enclosure were amazing. I would definitely go again. The volunteers were brilliant offering knowledge and answering questions and giving me directions. The zoo was clean and tidy, with places to stop and grab a bite to eat or drink at the different areas of the zoo. I managed to see the whole zoo and was there 11 - 4. I would go again I really enjoyed it.
I would ask that the zoo review the pricing of the drinks. I cant comment on the food. But £4.60 for (small) coffee with a flavoured shot steep!. I purchased a map, but there are boards dotted about. Even so I found it difficult to find my way round working from these and others did too. There's ample free carparking with markers to help you...
