Duston Fish Bar — Local services in Great Britain

I was meant to go to the other chip shop in Duston and I wish I did. The food at this one is below average:

Chips - soft and slightly soggy, no crisp to them whatsoever. The were opened within 5 mins of leaving the shop so not left wrapped up for ages.

Battered sausage - was ok, crispy batter.

Kebab - how hard is it to season some chicken and grill? Very apparently. Kind of felt like the chicken had been boiled and finished on the grill. Bland as hell. Poorly put together. I honestly didn't think kebabs could be this bad

Service - can't fault very friendly and served quickly

I don't particularly like being negative about a small business but it was honestly...

Run by a lovely couple. It is true that the lovely lady may come across as a little pushy but then, they are in the business of selling things and it's not like they lock the door and force anyone to buy extra, it's just an option.

Be a regular customer and you find out they are very loyal indeed

Very occasionally they do forget something in a large order so a good idea to watch them get the food.

Only used this place once, for double burger and onion rings. The burgers come in a bap with absolutely nothing else: no salad, no sauce etc. Ridiculous. The burgers themselves are edible but taste like those ultra cheap low quality ones. I really didn't want to give a poor review but it does merit one. The prices are on par with other such takeaways, therefore I should reasonably expect salad, sauce etc and not ultra...
