We loved staying at Harriets Hideaway, and even got the Harriet Teepee. Beds were comfy and warm with plenty of room to move about. Gas camping stove provided in the tent for your morning cuppa. Outside was a small decked area with stunning views of the valley, a seating area with firepit and a fenced in grass area for the kids to safely play. The outdoor kitchen was wellstocked with plates / cutlery / pans / gas cooker / kettle / sink and seated area. Fresh eggs every morning, and the option to buy small souvenirs, logs for the firepit etc. With an honesty box system. The outdoor compost loo was a bit smelly, but you get used to it, and the shower was a nice touch with piping hot water. Farmer Caroline was lovely, she came to collect my daughter each morning and took her to collect the eggs and feed the animals, which she absolutely loved!    Read moreWe spent the most wonderful evening and morning in the old converted horse box. From the moment I booked, Caroline was nothing but attentive and helpful, offering me a discount for a late booking and a later check out and replying to my various emails promptly and helpfully.
The horse box itself was quirky, clean, cosy and had everything we needed with the most stunning views and space.
In the morning, Caroline was fantastic with my children (and the other kids) and took them round to feed and pet all of the delightful animals including horses, goats, ducks, chickens and lambs. She was so fab and friendly with the children. They even bought back fresh duck and chicken eggs for breakfast.
The beds were comfy and the bath was wonderful. It was a lovely little stop off, my only regret was that we didnât stay longer.
Thanks so...
Read moreIf you are looking for peace and quiet, this place is awesome. Caroline, Ben and family are brilliant hosts. We are busy nurses and wanted some downtime whilst visiting the Looe area, Harriet's Hideaway was just the ticket! The only noise here is the beautiful sound of the handsome shire horses, the baa's of sheep with their randy ram, and the oinks of the cheeky pigs.
Our tent was superb, loads of room and it is the first uninterrupted nights sleep we have had for what seems like forever. If you are a stargazer, this is also the place for you, no light pollution means you could literally loose yourself here.
The only down side....Caroline wouldn't let me kidnap the Pepper the farm kitten and Harriet the cow.
Would recommend...
