Id like to start by saying that although we are not professionals, we are very experienced drivers (Bar one member of our group, who hadn't actually had any incidents the entire night). We as a group have been all across the UK to different venues, karting is a hobby of ours, we love it, and we understand the costs involved for upkeep, especially if the karts are not handled with care.
Now I used to love this place, but the new policies have completely ruined the experience. A couple of minor wipeouts by experienced racers led to everyone's speed on the track being drastically reduced—without any warning! The speed was so slow that you don't even need to brake for corners, making it a boring, snail-paced ride.
To make matters worse, there were no warning flags issued for the incidents; instead, the speed reduction was immediate and became permanent. We’re experienced drivers, and yet the first drive was also entirely at this frustratingly slow pace, which was unnecessary and unfair.
For comparison, the higher speed setting now is barely comparable to their old petrol karts, and on the slower setting, it takes an extra five seconds just to get around the track.
To top it all off, the marshals don’t even pay proper attention to what's happening on the track. They tried to gaslight us about the situation, despite the fact that they were either on their phones or chatting with each other, so too distracted to have even seen it.
The group before us even had to whistle to get a marshal's attention to help a kid who had crashed something that previously would never have gone unnoticed for so long.
We won’t be returning unless these issues are fixed. As a group, we all agreed we’d rather spend the money on petrol to go to Aviemore or Elgin—or even down to TeamSport in Glasgow—than waste our money here again under these policies. I do hope this changes soon and the experience once again takes priority over...
Read moreI want to commend the incredible team at Inverness Kart Raceway for their outstanding service and kindness. The young adults who work there are not only professional but also incredibly well-mannered and empathetic.
My 6-year-old son, who has autism and ADHD, was made to feel completely at ease. The staff went above and beyond to understand his needs, patiently explaining everything in a way that made him feel comfortable and included. Their understanding and thoughtful approach turned what could have been a stressful experience into a wonderful, enjoyable day for him.
It’s clear that the team takes pride in creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone. Thank you so much for your kindness, patience, and professionalism. We will definitely be returning, and I highly recommend Inverness Kart Raceway to anyone looking for a family-friendly experience where every guest is truly valued.
I just wanted to say a special thank you to the amazing team on Sunday – Hollie, Kayleigh, Logan, and Oliver. They went above and beyond to make my son feel comfortable and included, which means so much to us, especially since going into new places can often feel overwhelming for him. Their care and professionalism truly made all the difference, and we’re so grateful. We’re already looking forward to our next visit –...
Read moreA group of 16 went for the afternoon . Unfortunately some of us had a pint with our meal before going . The woman on the desk had us all register and when we paid our £640 we were immediately told we were not getting to race and all were excluded even those who did not have a drink . Bear in mind this woman stood not more than the width of the desk watching us signing in yet she waited for us to pay our money stating she only smelt alcohol after we had paid . We were then told that our money would not be refunded . Only after strong protests did we receive 50% returned . So we paid £320 and did not turn a wheel . This under any circumstances is serious sharp practice and to not allow those without a drink to go on is plain fraud and theft . As for her terms and conditions I could hardly read the small print and as 90% of people would do agreed to them . Had she said at time of entering any of you guys who have had a drink are not driving it would be no problem but to stand there smiling and telling us you are not getting a refund is to me the lowest of the low business practice...
