Dows Bar — Restaurant in Scotland

Had a leaving meal for a family member leaving the country. Unfortunately the preordered meals all got messed up, and the spag bol id ordered was dry, didnt even have any parmasan or garlic chiabatta with it, and for the price would have gotten a tastier meal 5 mins down the road in macdonalds. My wifes thai chicken curry was neither thai or curry, and the chicken was dry and inedible. Half the currys got sent back. As for service the waiting staff were so apologetic but the meal for those first served was eaten before the full party had their orders, and the bowl of potatoes for those with a pie was delivered after all the pies were eaten. They obviously cannot cater for that large a group (over 30)and it showed. The only saving grace was the starters (but the bread was stale, and the cullen skink had a skin!), but everything went downhill after that! Plus ordering a kids meal, then at the end being billed the full price was a joke. £11 for a plate of macaroni and chips without even any salad was rediculous. Very slow service as had to wait over an hour for food as the excuse was 1 chef and 1 waitress! Food was rubbish and portion sizes could have been better! Wasn't worth the price we paid,asked for a a Diet Coke again we had to ask how long the drink was going to be as they were more interested in serving alcohol outside to rowdy customers. Went to watch England batter Ukraine at Dows. Plenty of like minded folk there. Disappointing selection of draught largers (Tenants only) and the bottles are over priced at roughly £4 each (small corona), particularly when you could nip to the shop next door and get bigger bottles for cheaper.
