My daughter had her 5th birthday there today with lots of school friends. The food was very good and the party room was really lovely. However there were a few issues firstly we were told to arrive no earlier than 15 mins to set ourselves up for the party so when we got there (15 mins before start time) it was very much a rush to set up before guests started to arrive. The next issue we came across was seating for the parents attending, there was no tables and chairs set up for the parents to sit at bare in mind we had pre ordered hot and cold food for the adults so table space and seating was necessary really. We had to arrange this ourselves. Another issue with seating was that the venue seemed very over booked with regular paying guests which took up all the seating so tables that were supposed to be for our guests were covered in rubbish and dirty plates which I had to clean myself. As for the âhostâ which was specifically for our party seemed very doom and gloom and wasnât around at all was only there at the beginning and to deliver food so I wouldnât really call it âhostingâ at all. Was told on numerous occasions that staff were on their breaks hense doing most of the sorting myself. Lastly it was a very long wait for the adult food I pre ordered in my opinion for a party that started at 1.30 it should of been out ready and hot food by 1.45 without me having to ask 3 times because the first two times the lady I asked forgot to go and check??? Not sure what I was expecting but I definitely think a bit more communication and organisation is needed. You had no other parties that day so a bit more preparation and effort would have been nice. Also no air con as stated? Very hot in the room and disco light was so small there wasnât much point having it on. Iâm very glad my daughter had the best time thatâs most important. Just a bit annoying for me having to pay ÂŁ300 (not including deposit) with all these issues. Maybe these can be resolved for...
Read moreKid zone is poorly run and poorly managed. It is fully equipped with a sufficient jungle gym. However, Staff have not a care for children's safety. Food is disgusting and should definitely be cause for concern. Fruit pots cut in the morning then left to rot all day. Bought a pot of fruit for my child and was shocked to find it tasted like vinegar and had gone brown!! Not to mention they have a gate which separates the main door and the main road outside, which is frequently left open as lazy staff chat and talk about their boring lives. They would easily miss any child which ran past out of the main door. You are lured into a false sense of security by the buzzer release, which allows people to access and leave via the gate! However, pretty pointless when gate is left open. Upon shutting the gate I was met with aggression from staff telling me I was rude and that I should be watching my child if I am worrying about her safety. Swear words were also a frequent visitor in this chavs limited vocabulary. She made it quite clear they have no responsibility nor concern for your children once they are in the establishment and have your money! I queried as to the gates purpose at all , if not for child safety, it was met with some limited grunting. I believe that this is the worst soft children's play area I have visited. I think it is fine if your child is ten and wants to burn off energy by lobbing around said 'soft' play toys but if you have a child under the age of 4...
Read moreMy two children my son ages 4 and my daughter aged 3 arrived about 2pm, the place was busy but to be expected. We soon realised there was way too many boisterous 9-12 year olds, they was throwing balls at everyone, climbing onto the rafters / beams and jumping down most of the time dropping/ falling down onto younger ones walking below, they was climbing up the slides and blocking the middle of the tunnel slides so when the younger ones came down they all bundled down on top of them, they was fighting re creating violent fight scenes from their xboxs dragging any one who passed into the fight kicking punching and swinging them by the neck including my children and many others that I witnessed. I spoke to the supervisor at the desk who said she spoke to the children but it had been happening since we arrived and was still happening as we was leaving. Their are clearly no rules in place or at least no rules being monitored with consequences. Children and their parents need to be spoken to by staff confident in their role and the able to ensure rules are followed. No staff were monitoring the play area at all!!!! And children were being hurt. I had heard bad things but having seen first hand how out of control it is there I am angered. It's no good just putting out a call for parents to supervise their children when it's that busy you can't always see, during busy times staff as well as parents need to be...
