Some of the staff here need to make serious amendments to their personal hygiene. This establishment clearly does not pay it's staff a liveable wage as it seems some members of staff are unable to afford anti-perspiration spray.
A beanstalk of a fellow, donning glasses, who was moping around the customer seating area of the restaurant, looking as if he would be much happier dead, seemed to be the source of the stench. If a person with hygiene issues so serious that I could smell him from a meter away, whilst I was trying to enjoy my sloppy zinger box meal, was who they allocated to the front of house, I dread to think what other hygiene oversights there are in the back of house.
Speaking of hygiene oversights, the toilets were revolting, featuring blocked urinals, dusty extractor fans, toilet pans that looked as if they had been pebble dashed with excrement, and a severe lack of hand soap.
The meal was at best unfortunate, and at worst genuinely depressing, had more bone than meat, and featured sloppy, moist buns.
The gentleman at the counter was the only saving grace to this visit which can only be described as a living nightmare. I noticed his name was also Oliver and he was exceptionally polite.
I shall not be making a hasty return. I feel bad for the staff having to work in such a mismanaged, revolting...
Read moreI ordered a mighty bucket for one and 1 extra piece of chicken. The texture and colour of the chicken in the meal was different to the individual piece of chicken. When I quietly raised this with the team member that served my food a female manager and a male manager both turned and said what is wrong that’s the chicken mate. Do you want a refund? I carried on explaining to the team member and a customer at the counter then said it’s extra crispy mate. I didn’t react just said to the team member are you able to change those pieces and the female manager just yelled I get you refund, YOU WANT REFUND! So I just said yes, I’ll have a refund. The money was abruptly handed over to me even though I paid with card and I left. I worked for KFC from 2000-2017 from team member to area manager so I know why the chicken was like that but to be spoken to in the way those two spoke to me was not nice. Re-train and coach the team please. It’s a great looking store and the feel is busy if you had the customer service in place it could be a great store. Several stores are advertising for a store manager in this area so please get this sorted as the staff are clearly struggling. Ordered food for eat in and table service. 25 mins later no food, went to counter as friends who ordered after us where getting theirs for takeaway. Noticed on screen our order number was showing for collection. Asked how long had it been sitting there waiting, was told had only just been put there, which was a lie as I had been stood there for 5 mins whilst friends order was being sorted as it was wrong. Asked why hadn't it been delivered to our table as it clearly stated table service on their system, all I got was dunno and no apology. Finally got food and drinks and went to table. Drinks where wrong so daughter took them back. Opened food and it was all cold and chips weren't cooked. Took back to counter and was told could re cook. Didn't now want this wanted money back. Girl disappeared, came back didn't say a word to me just carried on severing. Asked about my refund, oh the Manager is coming to do it. Another 5 mins Manager finally does refund, no apology just looked blank. This in total took an hour from ordering food. The restaurant wasn't even busy, avoid...
