Unit 1 Skatepark. (Rochester) — Attraction in Tonbridge and Malling

We hired Unit 1 on Saturday evening for my son's 11th birthday for him and his friends, and we couldn't have chosen anything better. While he's a very keen scooter rider, not all of his friends are as confident, but they all absolutely loved it! Having it to themselves and playing his own music through the sound system was amazing. There were scooters, helmets and pads for those that didn't have them. Kathy and her team are lovely and really helpful, and the support work they do for young people is invaluable. Now we know it's there we'll be regular visitors! Staff were very friendly can't knock that. However for a place that states its a facility for all disciplines, being turned away for having a bike was a bit disheartening when all we wanted was a dry place to ride on miserable Saturday.

The park was fairly empty and 2 bmxers wouldn't have made much more difference, especially those with decent etiquette.

Looked like fun park, shame we didn't get to ride it. if you are planning on going call ahead to check if you're allowed to bring your 2 wheeled metal...

An amazing skatepark. My son absolutely loves going here to scooter and skateboard. The facilities are perfect and there is lots of support and challenge for all ages. The staff are friendly, approachable, helpful and knowledgeable. My son has had great scooter and skateboard lessons here as well as his 7th birthday party. He has become friends with many of the children who scooter here and thus grown in confidence. I highly recommend this place. Once you go, you will be hooked for life! Fabulous value...
