Kingfish — Local services in Great Britain

This place was lovely when it first opened but it has changed,if the food looked like the pictures i would stilll think twice about going. The kebab side is worse and the salad is always old looking and dont taste fresh. The owner needs to get his finger out and sort things out instead of trying to save money . People eat with there eyes and wont eat what they see on offer. The only time i see people in here is when lobster pot is closed, and its normally workmen. Looks like the owner cant be bothered anymore, PALM OIL is a NO GO firstly,I have never had a nice sausage from here, kebab side is poor ,salad looks òld dry and lettuce is turning brown,meat is never cut fresh as u order,its pre cut keeping warm,was great when it first opened chips taste old and reheated . I don't recommend this shop,and I won't use it ever again, just to finish the owner looks miserable dirty and greesey, he could do with looking more...

We are lucky to have such a good fish and chip shop nearby. Have used them many times and never been let down. They serve the usual cod, rock, plaice, haddock etc but also whitebait, calamari, scampi and very good burgers and chicken. The fish is very fresh and succulent, the batter is light and never greasy and they do not overcook or dry out their products. The place is spotless and they must change the fats often as everything tastes and smells so fresh. Have tried their chicken and burgers, which are presented with crisp, fresh salad. Been here for the first time tonight. Wasn't looking forward to it due to the reviews. But I actually really enjoyed it. Service very friendly from the guy at the till. Chips were just how I like them and batter tasted fresh on the fish, not cooked in 3 day old oil. Only feedback would be that they should put something in the base of the box to soak up the oil as the underside of the fish became quite soggy towards the end of eating it. I'd happily go...
