Great local community pub owned by the locals for the locals. They have freshly made pizza on Friday night which excellent and chicken wings on Saturday also excellent. Live bands on Friday night. Plus they show all the football and rugby. Lovely staff and a friendly welcoming atmosphere. Nice garden at the back for when the weather is good. It has a great selection of beer and wines. Quiz night on a Thursday night which is very popular. It can be quiet mid week. Would highly recommend if you’re in the area and don’t want to go to the town centre. Huge improvement since being taken over as a community pub which has been a massive turning point for the pub and the local community. The pub has been refreshed and has comfortable seating, the beer garden again has been refurbished. The beer is good with a wide selection and they have recently started to provide pub food. The location is slightly awkward in respect to a busy road but that maybe to its benefit as it feels like a rural pub which adds to its character.
