Lakeside Windermere Landing (Pier) — Local services in Great Britain

I recently had the chance to visit the Lakeside Windermere landing pier, and I was thoroughly impressed. The pier itself is simply stunning, with its wooden boardwalk stretching out over the tranquil lake. As you walk along, you can't help but be captivated by the breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and mountains.

But the highlight for me was the charming cafe located right on the pier. They serve up delicious homemade food and drinks, all while you get to enjoy the peaceful ambiance of the lakeside setting. Kindly do not book online as the company is not equipped to handle online bookings efficiently. I booked in a timely fashion before the cruise, still had to queue for a paper ticket which they did not provide as they ‘couldn’t find me on the system!’ Told to buy another ticket which i did not do as I had just wasted nearly £50 in fares and parking! Easy parking (£4 for 10 hours). Full cruise of Lake Windermere available from here. Leaves hourly approx during season stopping in Bownes and Ambleside where you can get off and rejoin a later boat. Takes about 3 hours to Ambleside and back. Can also be combined with visit to aquarium, motor museum or heritage steam railway.
