Robert was a pleasure to have with us as we celebrated a special 40th birthday. His communication in the run-up to our event was excellent & his pricing very reasonable. He arrived well prepared & organised, instantly got stuck in, blending effortlessly into the dynamic of the room - doing his thing, whilst engaging with us appropriately & bringing his warmth & welcome. Rob is clearly passionate about his work & how lovely to enjoy seeing his creative flair as he prepared our food in front of us. It can’t be easy going in to an unfamiliar space and having to make use of whatever you are faced with; but Rob rose to any challenges and dealt with everything calmly, making us feel entirely at ease and able to trust that he had everything under control at all times. So really all we had to do was to relax and have fun! The food was delicious. It was so lovely to be able to treat our guests. We went for a three-course French menu, with our guests enjoying the Camembert & ham hock options for starters; beef, salmon and Camembert options for main; and a delicious passion fruit crème brûlée for dessert. Yum! We highly recommend it! My 12-year-old daughter became sous chef by pudding time and Rob supervised her using the blow torch to brown the tops of the crème brûlées. Having children himself meant he was really natural with youngsters around and he put her at ease. As a shy young lady, it was lovely to see her get involved! To top it all off, without even noticing that it was being done, the kitchen was suddenly completely cleared and cleaned and Rob ready to slide away, job done! We had the Burata and Tomato salad which was fresh and zingy with a wonderful creamy burata to balance. The presentation of this dish and all, was impressive and something you would find in a high end restaurant in London. The Beef Wellington I cried at with happiness. The best we had all had! The pastry was cooked to perfection, the mushroom duxelle surrounding a melt in the mouth perfectly pink beef fillet was divine. The potatoes duaphinoise was well seasoned with gently notes of garlic and the spinach fresh and unctious. 😋 The group especially enjoyed the granita as a freshner and the desserts of passionfruit creme brulee or the chocolate desert were equally on point. Evey course was delicious and beautifully presented, seasoned and the flavour combinations were delicious. Rob and the team were an absolute pleasure throughout the process and highly professional and efficient on the day. We were a group of 10 adults and chose the Bohemian 7 course menu, which didnt fail to deliver. They left the kitchen spotless and I wouldnt hesitate to book them for any event. Value for money and top class execution. Superb!

We were cancelled on by 'Dine In Dulge' only a week before our event, and the wonderful Robert from Menu-Home stepped in and managed to save the day!
