La Casa Bella — Restaurant in England

Roxy's last night - three lifelong friends for a catch-up Supper. Good food at reasonable prices. My chips were only luke-warm, but otherwise all fine.

Our waitress was astonishing. Very, very welcoming, and 'efficient' doesn't even come close to describing her. Somehow my body language signalled I was about to order a second drink - I turned round and she was already there, arm outstretched to take my glass. Brilliant. Bill split & prepared before we'd asked (she had spotted the shifting about, patting pockets for wallets, no doubt). That woman should be training across Dorset how to do it properly!

Weirdly, sometimes three, sometimes two tough, vaguely angry looking guys would sit at the bar - turn to glance and they'll scowl at you - like in TV movies. At different times, one or both would walk outside to the pavement, where four of them would stand in a huddle and scowl at the traffic. Then they'd come back, different ones, to the bar. No food.

I love Roxys, perhaps not all...

If you’re ever near this Italian gem of a restaurant, do yourself a favor and do not leave without trying the duck dish with the orange sauce — trust me on this.

This was hands down one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The duck was perfectly tender, juicy, and full of rich flavor — and that orange sauce? Oh. My. God. Absolute magic. 🍊✨ It was the kind of sauce that hits every taste bud just right — sweet, tangy, and full of depth. It elevated the whole dish to another level.

Every bite felt like I was being transported to a beautiful dreamland. I’m not exaggerating when I say I was lowkey having an out-of-body experience 😂 That combo of duck, orange sauce, and that delicate spice blend? Chef’s kiss! 👨‍🍳💋

I highly, highly recommend it. If you’re into bold flavors and want to try something that’ll blow your mind — this is the one. You won’t regret...

"I was absolutely delighted with my visit to this Italian restaurant. From the moment I stepped inside, I was welcomed by a truly marvellous atmosphere, which is both incredibly charming and cosy. The perfect setting for a delicious meal.

The service was spectacular, truly faultless from start to finish. The team were attentive, helpful, and contributed immensely to the wonderful experience.

And the food... the food was absolutely marvellous! Authentic dishes bursting with flavour, showcasing real Italian cooking.

I shall certainly be returning as soon as possible to sample the rest of the menu! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a high-quality...
