Peking House — Local services in Great Britain

Awful. Have ordered for years with no issue, always brilliant. Ordered for the family just a few days ago and it had to be the worst takeaway ever. We ordered King Po king prawns, egg fried rice, chicken chow mein, sweet and sour chicken balls and plain chow mein. The Kung Po prawns contained huge chunks of chicken as well as prawns. The person ordering doesn’t eat meat, hasn't done for years, a pescatarian. How you serve massive pieces of chicken in a fish dish I don’t know.

The egg fried rice? Where’s the egg? None, and I mean none. Just brown, extremely greasy fried rice with zero flavour. Sweet and sour chicken balls were coated in a spongy chewy batter that was vile. Plain chow mein with enormous chunks of veg, literally almost half a spring onion in the bottom and massive prices of onion impossible to eat. Incorrect prawn dish was returned to Peking house. Apologies from girl on reception, not so much from other staff. Two dishes replaced but I’m all honesty, they weren’t much better. Totally tasteless and greasy.

Apparently there’s a new chef. The old one has left for Scotland. I’m a qualified chef and although I’ve never trained in oriental cookery, I wouldn’t serve what we were given to my pets. Just...

Always order from here, last time I ordered it took over 1hr and 15 mins to get to us and was cold on arrival! After multiple calls to the driver, trying to direct him and to the take-away they agreed they'd give us either a free dish or discount.

Just rang as I thought I'd give them another go.. free delivery is the best they're willing to do! JOKE!!

1st time trying tonight Very bad food very tasteless,dry and gloopy curry sauce and a very funny taste of the chicken like it has gone off the spare ribs were like rubber had to add my own soy sauce to the chowmein and even then it tasted bad I did ring and ask for a little bit of a refund as nothing apart from rice and spring rolls got eaten and they were unwilling to resolve the situation and told me there’s nothing they could do so if you don’t want to waste your hard earned money don’t bother ordering...
