We hired Julian to cater for our intimate family wedding for 16 adults and 7 children recently and cannot fault our experience.

All our guests were blown away by the quality and high standard of food. Not only were all dishes and canapés presented beautifully with such attention to detail, the food tasted phenomenal. Even with a few fussy eaters in our party, Julian was only too happy to work with us on our menu choices to ensure that everyone was catered for.

Julian was very professional and the service was excellent. He made the time to chat with both myself and my partner along with a few of our guests to ensure that we had all enjoyed our day-he even gave away a few recipe tips to guests wanting to know the secret to his delicious tartar sauce!

We were astounded by how easy Julian made everything, he set up in the kitchen in no time and cleaned up just as fast once the food had all been served, leaving the kitchen absolutely sparkling as if untouched!

A special mention as well to the lovely catering assistants on Julian’s team who were so attentive and couldn’t do enough to ensure that everyone had everything they needed throughout the afternoon.

We booked Julian and his team for our wedding catering and it was the best decision we made! From the start of the enquiry process the communication was excellent. We had a couple of phone calls to decide on what food choices would best suit us and our guests and we never felt rushed or pushed to make a particular choice.On the day of the wedding, Julian and Liz provided the most excellent service and we cannot thank them enough for this. Now on to the food... To say it was exceptional is an understatement. The canapés were delicious and an appetiser of what was about to come. The wedding breakfast was a delight from start to finish. The steak pie with a red wine gravy was simply perfect and I wish I could eat it all over again. The desserts were equally perfect. We kept it 'Cumbrian' and guests chose from either sticky toffee pudding or Grasmere gingerbread cheesecake. For me, this was the toughest decision I had to make in the build up to the wedding.

The night before our wedding, we had the absolute pleasure of having Julian the Cumbrian Chef and his team cook for us and we genuinely couldn’t have asked for more. From start to finish, they were 10/10, friendly, professional, and an absolute joy to have around.

We opted for heartwarming, home-cooked favourites — lasagne and beef bourguignon — and what arrived at the table was honestly one of the best meals we’ve ever eaten. Rich, comforting, perfectly cooked, and packed full of flavour. The accompaniments were just as incredible, and every single element of the meal felt made with care and love. There were even leftovers, which our guests were quick to fight over!

We still find ourselves dreaming about the food. Our family all said the same, and people are still telling us how amazing the meal was.

Julian and his team made the evening so special, we’d recommend them in a heartbeat.
