Called in this morning to be met by an army of pickers and packers but it was first thing so to be expected. First encounter was a picker in the meat Aisle who let the door go on my arm when I was reaching in to get some mince. Thought that was extremely rude but let it go. Fast forward to the ready meal aisle but couldn’t get to it as there were 3 pickers chatting and blocking the way and another one, also in the way wanting to join in. Said excuse me and without any apologies begrudgingly moved a little allowing just enough room for me to get through but as my missus walk behind me got whacked on the arm with one of the packing trollies, gave me a dirty look which my missus spotted and pointed out. We also pointed out that they shouldn’t be in the way of the Aisles chatting. Cue two of them arguing that they were taking about work (whatever that has to do with anything as they were still blocking the Aisle) so we walked away whilst they were still trying to argue their point. We asked them why they were shouting and raising their voice at us to be told they were making a point but shouting and arguing with a customer isn’t making a point. Several other members of staff turned up to see what the fuss was. We continued shopping only to be met by several members of staff looking down every aisle at us in particular one male member of staff who made a point of glaring at us whilst walking past us 3 times in the same Aisle. By this point we were both angry and embarrassed at being made to feel like criminals. We have encountered plenty of bad service at this Huyton store, heard staff arguing and swearing but have always let it go but on this occasion I felt I had to say something. Some of the staff in there can be very helpful but shouting and arguing with customers when they are in the wrong beggars belief. Totally unacceptable and absolutely disgraceful behaviour. Didn’t see the point of asking to see the manager because if they allow things like this to happen in a store they are responsible for tells you everything about the way the...
Read moreHorrendous. I went there today Monday and it was one of the worst shopping trips I ever had. This is a zero star review. Only one manned till open and a massive queue of 10 or more trolleys queueing halfway down the aisle blocking access to the shelves in that aisle. It was the same last Friday. I politely asked several staff members if they could open more tills. But they did nothing and were rude when I asked to speak to the manager. So I had to take my trolley of shopping to the self service tills and guess what they were queuing for these too. These tills don't work right. I had to present my card 7 times before it was accepted. The people who are supposed to sort these problems were too busy stood in a group chatting rather than helping people. It takes longer here to checkout than it does to actually do the shopping.. That's a major problem. Many of the shelves were empty. They only contained empty cardboard boxes. The manager and staff of this store have no idea what customer service is. I never did get to speak to the manager but I will do so soon. The cafe is equally bad.. Most of the items on the overhead screen are not available. The drinks machine was not working either. Staff couldn't care less when told. They never tried to fix it. I had to get a refund which in itself became a major palaver. This store suffers from some rude incompetent staff and very bad management. My advice to potential customers is to give this awful store a wide berth until these problems are fixed. Asda needs to stop treating its customers with such contempt and open some tills. A complaint is being logged at asda head office but I doubt if it will help.
Hi Tasha. Please don't bother responding to this review with your copy and paste responses that you have been fobbing people off with for years. Your feedback to your team seems to be falling on deaf ears. If anything your standards have been getting a lot...
Read moreThis happened at express diner cafe huyton Sunday 20/10/2024 12.40ish pm. We went in Sunday for some quick lunch, me and my mum was left at the till for 10 minutes waiting to be served, there was no que , a nice young lady asked a older lady with a fringe and clamp ,in the back could she to serve us, as she was having issues with the drinks machine. The Lady in the back who had seen us waiting the whole time continued to fold bags , then she checked on chips, she did this a few times , then she went in and out of a few cupboards. We could see everything she was doing! then she walked over and said to us without a hi or smile "what do you want" I was a little shocked at this but I asked for 2 teas please and she said "no tea" and glared at me and mum. Her customer servive and attitude was awful. where was this staffs manners or apology at the wait. She could have given us alternative drinks options but she never. It was like we was a burden to her and not a paying customer. We ended leaving due to her attitude towards us. Its absolutely disgusting customer service and behaviour from the staff and asda/express diner cafe as they are allowing this...Ive reported this staff member to head office. She 100% needs urgent customer service trainings. You dont speak to anyone in this manner especially not a customer. Leaving anyone waiting that long in line is unprofessional , especially when they wasnt busy, but am heavily pregnant. This staff member lacked care and compassion and so did the express diner cafe. I'd never go here again , still to the cafes in huyton village where you get treated...
